The results showed that application of rare earth micro-fertilizer spraying could increase the honeydew melon yield and sugar content. Of all treatments,the best one was treatment (3),in which the concentration of rare earth mciro-fertilizer solution being 300mg kg-1 and whose application times respectively at first flowering and swelling fruit stage. Compared to the control,the yield of honeydew melon in treatmnet (3) was increased 584.1kg 667 m-2,about 28.4 %; sugar content reached 15.08 %,increased 1.8 degree. The increases of honeydew melon yield and sugar content reached extremely significant level.
Rare earth trace element fertilizer was applied by four treatments,seed dressing,seed soaking, spraying,both seed dressing and spraying on sugarbeet.The 4 treatment results showed that the root yield and sugar content of sugarbeet were increased.The best result was in the treatment both seed dressing and spraying, using 750 g/ha rare-earth (375 g/ha rare-earth+3 kg water for seed dressing before sowing,and spaying 375g/ha rare earth+600 kg water during epacme),root yield of sugarbeet increased by 29.5% and sugar content increased by 2.0°S in comparison with the control treatment,showing a difference at significant level.
This paper studies the present status of water resources and their utilization situation in Jiuquan City;analyzes the problems facing the water resources utilization and leading to the sustainable deteriolation of ecological environment,such as conflict between supply and requirement,serious over excavation of underground water,low utilization rate,irregular management;and puts forward reasonable and protecting countermeasures for sustainable utilization of water resources.
The results of the fields experiment in Hexi region in Gansu show that the sequence of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium affecting the cotton yield is P>K>N from 172.5 kg/hm2 to 241.5 kg/hm2 of N, Phosphorus and nitrogen are more important factor effecting the cotton boll number per plant than potassium and potassium is an important factor to the cotton boll weight. The proper proportion of N, P2O5 and K2O in Hexi region of Gansu is 1:0.67:0.23.

The research was to probe into effects of organic-inorganic compound fertilizer on the yield and quality of greenhouse with several species of fruit vegetables. The results showed that the yield and quality of sunlight greenhouse vegetables receiving organic-inorganic compound fertilizer were increased. The yields of cucumber、pepper and tomato were increased 16.44%、17.23% and 21.54% than CK . NO_3~--N were decreased 111 mg/kg、213 mg/kg and 223 mg/kg than CK.
