Gravitational influence of planetary systems on "stellar activity" (the brightness variations process) is considered. Expressions for the tidal forces affecting the stellar atmosphere are obtained taking into account the degree of freedom of the gravitating bodies. We show that periodicities in solar cycles may be related to the tidal forces from the big planes of the Solar System. This paper describes the studies related with the concept of a new compact tower called High Surge Impedance Loading Line (HSILL) as an alternative for the new 500 kV, AC expansion of the Furnas transmission system. Those studies considered specific digital programs for evaluation of the best optimized bundle conductors configuration, phase-to-phase insulation electrical strength laboratory tests and overvoltage studies, radio-interference and corona losses measurements.
We obtain an explicit formula for the resultant tidal force in the Earth-Moon-Sun system using a structurally inhomogeneous model for the Earth. Corrections for angular coordinates due to displacements of the inner core of the Earth are determined.
