Based on the groundwater resource evaluation in Xiliaohe plain,the capability and potential of groundwater resources are studied.With the groundwater potential evaluation module,which has been developed with MAPGIS secondary development function,the coefficient and modulus of groundwater potential in every groundwater subsystem is calculated.The results show that only one groundwater subsystem of four-stage of main Xiliao river has the lower potentiality,and the others have the larger potentiality.
