Springback compensation for die face is the problem of die design for sheet metal forming.Firstly,a new designing method for springback compensation based on numerical simulation and die face compensation theory was introduced.Secondly,by means of an industrial twist blade, the precision of springback predicting was proved by experiment. Finally, the compensated die face of the blade was obtained after twice compensations.Subsequently, the bi-directional integrated design of "CAD→CAE→CAD" for die face was achieved by transforming the CAE into CAD model.
Based on the numerical simulation and torque equilibrium theory,an optimal method was applied to calculate the torque difference between both sides of the center line;and the offset distance was obtained. The data got from the method applied in a progressive die for an electronic shell part was compared with the calculating results from the conventional analytical method and it shows effective and accurate in optimizing the pressure center of progressive dies.
