Based on the characteristic extracting of RF signal in digital cable TV system, this paper puts forward an algorithm for modulation recognition between 16QAM and 64QAM RF signals. Results of Computer simulations and real QAM signal testing show that the modulation recognition algorithm is reliable and feasible. This paper brings a useful technical practice to the safety of broadcast television broadcasting and the integration of digital TV terminals.
