Lead-free piezoelectric ceramics, with the nominal composition of 0.9(K0.5Na0.5)-NbO3-0.1LiSbO3,were synthesized by conventional solid-state sintering. The phase structure, piezoelectric, dielectric constant, the loss tangent and ferroelectric properties were characterized. The ceramics are single perovskite phase with tetragonal structure.High piezoelectric constant(d33=131 pC/N) and low dielectric loss tanδ=0.09(10 kHz) can be obtained from the ceramics.Typical ferroelectric polarization hysteresis loops can be obtained from the ceramics with the remnant polarization Pr=16.1 μC/cm2 and the coercive electric field EC=14.8 kV/cm.These properties are superior to those of the pure KNN ceramics.
