Experiment was conducted on effect of different ratio of substrate composition,slow-release fertilizer quantity on container seedling growth and survival rate of bud seedling transplantation of Schima superba.The result showed that substrate composition of peat/chaff with 7:3 could promote seedling height and ground diameter growth as well as transplantation survival rate.Application of 1.5 kg/m3 or 2.0 kg/m3 slow-release fertilizer in the substrate had better growth of seedling.The experiment concluded that the best condition for container seedling growth was: substrate composition of peat/chaff with 7:3,applied with 1.5 kg/m3 slow release fertilizers.
