Old Marshall design method is mainly adopted for AC-25C type asphalt mixture.This paper demonstrates the disadvantages in old Marshall design method,via lab experiments,it analyzes feasibility and necessity in adopting new Marshall method in AC-25C type mixture design,and gives relevant technical requests about adopting new Marshall methods in AC-25 mixture design.

Mechanism of tunnel surrounding rock collapse was studied and the mutation model built in this paper was proved to be a valid method to explain the phenomena of collapse in case of tunnel excavation through soft rock mass.Based on the model,the effect of the parameters such as stiffness,intenerating coefficient affected by water, and geometry-mechanic relationship was studied,the analysis showed that these parameters had great influence on the soft rock mass stability,the point at intersection collection could be considered as the point of system instability, when outer condition and inner property changed,the system could span the intersection collection and became insta- ble.Then the measures for soft rock mass collapse control in deep-buried tunnel such as prevention and cure of groundwater,pre-supporting,control blasting and monitoring was put forward and a good guide to the tunnel construc- tion could be provided.

On cement concrete deck slab it's usually required that the flexible waterproof layer is constructed.So the deck pavement structure differs from common pavement structure in mechanical performance.The paper analyzes influence of the factors such as thickness,modulus and poisson ratio of paving materials,thickness and modulus of waterproof layer as well as auto load on the maximum shear stress of water proof layer.Analysis shows that thickening asphalt overlay can distinctly reduce the maximum shear stress as the thickness of asphalt overlay is less than 10cm.Setting up the waterproof layer may effectively lower the maximum shear stress of asphalt overlay's bottom,that is advantageous to homogeneous dispersion of driving load.The paper analyzes the rationality of standards for shear strength of waterproof layer as well.
It is important that monitor measuring was applied in tunnel in regard to NATM. In this paper, the monitor measuring of NATM was studied in one tunnel in express. Based on the regularity and conditions of the surrounding rock deformation of monitor measuring in site, the Grey model is successful used to forecast the tunnel deformation. The optimum time for primary and permanent supports are obtained which averting successfully accidents in construction, which indicated that the forecast results are in good accord with monitor data. This measure insured to enhance the construction qualities and guide to Highway tunnel construction in Karst areas.
Based on the careful investigation in site of highway tunnel,the classification of tunnel disease is obtained.According to the reconnaissance,design and construction of tunnel,in relation to the distribution of stress and loading of tunnel by numerical analysis and back analysis,the existing condition and reasons of tunnel diseases are carefully analyzed.At the same time,the disease management methods are provided,which are important to guide similar tunnel to search diseases reasons and manage diseases.
