To investigate the degradation of α-HCH with combined oxidation system in soil,3 different oxidants of H2O2,Fe2+,Fe2+/H2O2were used to activate persulfate.The effects of initial pH and the different combined oxidants on the degradation of α-HCH were studied.The result shows that Fe2+/H2O2/Na2S2O8 system has the highest performance in α-HCH degradation,followed by Fe2 +/Na2 S2 Os andH2O2/Na2S20s.The degradation efficiency of α-HCH is reaching 86.13% within Fe2+/H2O2/Na2S2O8 system with the molar ratio of 2/10/10 and the pH of 7.The sulfate and hydroxyl free radical were proved to exist simultaneously in the Fe2+/H2O2/Na2S2Os system by molecular probes test using ethanol and nitrobenzene.
Degradation of HCH by ultrasonic-thermally activated persulfate in soil system was studied in this work.The effect of various operating parameters,viz,the reaction time of ultrasound,reaction tempera-ture,initial concentration of persulfate and initial pH were systematically examined.The results showed thatα-HCH degradation rate can reach 95.96% under the condition (ultrasonic time 240min,temperature 60℃,PS dosage 0.2mol·L-1 ,pH 5.4);The removal effect was found to be improved with increasing the reaction time,the temperature and the initial concentration of persulfate,The initial pH of the system was found to be having no significant effect on the degradation process;and the removal of theα-HCH was slightly better under acidic system than neutral and alkaline system;Further,oxidation reaction ofα-HCH follows a pseudo-first-order kinetic model,the apparent activation energy achieved 75.64kJ·mol-1 when the temperature ranges from 40 to 80℃.
