Tag anti-collision technology is a key technology to improve the identification efficiency in Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) systems.Based on analysis over the elementary binary search algorithm and its various evolved algorithms,an improved algorithm based on regressive-style binary search algorithm,called IRBS,is proposed.This algorithm introduces a tag counter,Rn to record the status of tags.At first the collision bits in the feedback information of tags are detected;then by taking the highest collision bit as the criterion to group those tags,their search ranges are reduced by jointly utilizing both forward and backward search methods.Simulation results show that the algorithm can reduce the communication volume between readers and tags.As a result,the identification speed of tags is effectively promoted.
