This paper presents a post-processing method to evaluate blockiness in block-based video coding images. We propose three constraints to distinguish block boundaries from real edges and textures in the evaluation algorithm. The evaluation result is then used to tune the de-blocking filter on the frame level.
A multimedia image post-processing system based on the practical application of digital video is introduced, which can be used in HDTV.And the design principle, the choice and realization of the algorithm is analysed.This system includes the modules of noise reduction, deinterlacing, scaling, sharpness-enhancement, These modules can reconstruct good images for the usual low-quality images.In one word, this post-processing system can be integrated in the modern digital TV chip SoC to get the high-quality video image after processing.
Image fusion is the combination of two or more images to obtain a new image of better quality using a certain algorithm.An energy minimization method which can fuse panchromatic image and multispectral image is proposed.The energy mainly consists of two components.One ensures the injection of more correlated detail spatial information.The other ensures the preservation of the spectral information.Additionally,prior knowledge about the high spatial resolution multispectral image and other constraints can also add to the energy.
