Objective To evaluate iodine nutrition of children in Honghe Prefecture of Yunnan Province and to provide scientific evidence for prevention and control of iodine deficiency disorders(IDD).Methods Urinary samples of 1 327 pupils aged from 8 to 10 years old were collected from 65 primary schools in 13 counties and cities in Honghe Prefecture in 2009.The urinary iodine content was tested by colorimetric ceric-arsenic assay and vitriolic ammonium assimilation.Results The median of urinary iodine content in the samples was 265.87 μg/L,with the percentage of urinary iodine(≥100 μg/L) of 93.75%,including ≥300 μg/L of 40.39%,and the percentage of urinary iodine(20 μg/L and 50 μg/L) only of 0.15% and 1.66% respectively.Levels of urinary iodine were not obviously different in different counties,ages and sexes(P0.05).Conclusions In each county or city in Honghe Prefecture,eliminating IDD program has reached the related standard,but the urinary iodine content of forty percent children is beyond the ideal range,and it is suggested that the concentration of iodine in iodized salt should be decreased slightly.
[目的] 了解红河州辖区内各县市食用盐含碘状况、碘盐覆盖及食用情况,为制定消除碘缺乏病防治策略提供科学依据.[方法] 按照<全国碘盐监测方案>(修订)和<云南省碘盐监测方案实施细则>进行随机抽样和检测.[结果] 2007、2008年分别检测居民户食用盐3 782份、3 827份,碘盐均数分别为30.14±6.90mg/kg,31.92±6.41mg/kg,碘盐覆盖率分别为99.58%、99.53%,碘盐合格率分别为95.25%、97.85%.合格碘盐食用率分别为94.84%、97.39%,非碘盐率分别为0.42%、0.47%.[结论] 红河州居民户食用碘盐质量保持在良好的稳定状态.
