The opportunity cost is the fundamental driving force of labor. In the perspective of opportunity cost, the influence of opportunity cost on labor force transfer and industrial development in silkworm industry are analyzed, the main countermeasure of silkworm industry to deal with the problem of increase of opportunity cost are provided.
