The characteristics of the hydraulic model,gear,bearing,sealing and axis couplet of large-sized bevel gear drive tubular pump set are introduced through analysis of the structural model selection of the units in Luyang Pumping Station of Huai River outfall waterway.It is expatiated that the large-sized bevel gear drive tubular pump has the merits of simple structure,easy installation,maintenance,and high operation efficiency of the unit.Thus,the large-sized bevel gear drive tubular pump units can be used in the pumping station project of the South to North Water Transfer Project,farmland irrigation and drainage projects,and the urban area flood control pumping stations.

Acomprehensive analysis on this issue is given , which is experienced from the Reconstruction Project ofQinhuaxinhe Pump Station.
