With the continuous improvement of the state water environment requirements,especially for nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in effluent from sewage treatment plants,part of the sewage treatment plant effluent quality can not meet the requirements.The process upgrade for nitrogen and phosphorus removal must be done.The effluent quality from Zhengzhou Wulongkou WWTP before and after process upgrade was compared and analyzed.The results showed that except for ammonia nitrogen,the other indexes after the process upgrade were significantly lower than those before the process upgrade.All the indexes could meet the first level B criteria specified in the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant(GB 18918-2002).
The soil and winter wheat around coal-fired power plant located in Shangqiu City,Henan Province were sampled during the seedling period and the harvest period,and the concentration of mercury was measured with ZYG-Ⅱcold atomic fluorescence spectrometry in order to study the influence of coal-fired flue gas on the accumulation and distribution of mercury in soil-wheat(Triticum aestivum L) system.The results showed that the concentration of mercury in soil during the seedling period and the harvest period didn't exceed the limited value of the Soil Environmental Quality Standard in China(GB 15618—1995,Grade II).Moreover,mercury concentration in the topsoil was higher than that in the subsoil,revealing surface enrichment phenomenon.During the seedling period,the mercury concentration in the wheat roots was higher than that in the stem and leaves,and the concentration in the roots,and stem and leaves showed a significant positive correlation with that in the topsoil.In addition,the mercury content of topsoil,wheat roots,and stem and leaves increased from seedling period to harvest period of wheat.Leaf area of wheat increased rapidly from seedling period to harvest period,and wheat leaves directly absorbed mercury from coal-fired flue gas,resulting in increased mercury concentration by leaf absorption.During the harvest period,the order of mercury content in the winter wheat organs around coal-fired power plant was stem and leaf > root > glume > grain.Furthermore,during harvest period,the mercury concentration in roots had a significant correlation with that in the topsoil,whereas the mercury concentration in stem and leaves had not an apparent correlation with the topsoil.Therefore,mercury deposition of coal-fired flue gas affected the absorption and accumulation of mercury in wheat various organs around coal-fired power plant.
In order to know the agricultural non-point source pollution characteristics oi Huaihe river basin in Henan province, representative land types and test points were selected and runoff plots were established according to the topography, rainfall and land utilization types of Huaihe river basin in Henan province. Two years consecutive tests of nitrogen and phosphorus loss experiment were conducted. Concentration difference and loss difference of nitrogen and phosphorus in different land use types were analyzed. Correlations between nitrogen and phosphorus loss quantity and runoff and sediment volume were also analyzed. The results show that it has obvious differences of nitrogen and phosphorus loss in different land types. In the 5 kinds of land types, the largest amount of nitrogen toss is 10.21 kg/hm2 in the land which plants vegetable, the largest amount of phosphorus loss is 3.98 kg/hm2 in the land which plants flower. Dissolved nitrogen is the main loss form in the surface runoff, and adsorption phosphorus is the main loss form. It has obvious correlation between nitrogen and phosphorus loss quantity and runoff.

In recent years, the research of nitrogen and phosphorus removal in sewage has been a hotspot in the field of wastewater treatment at home and abroad with the worsening of the world-wide eutrophication of water bodies. Improved A2/O oxidation ditch of Wulongkou sewage treatment plant in Zhengzhou has achieved good effect to remove organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus in sewage. Based on the operation practice, this article makes a detailed introduction of the technology components, technology parameters, structure and nitrogen and phosphorus removal mechanisms of improved A2/O oxidation ditch technology. According to the operational effect in this sewage treatment, the paper discusses the probable problems and solving measures during the operation of improved A2/O oxidation ditch technology, so that the technology can be applied in a better and wider way.
Based on the running conditions of Matougang Sewage Treatment Plant,the comparative analysis of operation efficiency between the reversed A2/O process and the UCT process was performed.The results show that there is no significant difference in removal of COD,BOD5,SS and NH3-N.In the two processes,the removal rates of these indicators are higher,and the monthly average removal rates can reach more than 90%.However,the two processes have slight difference in the removal of TP and TN.The removal rates of TP and TN in the reversed A2/O process are higher than those in the UCT process,which is due to the influence of influent carbon source and mixed liquid return.
According to engineering example,the paper introduces new treatment process of fertilizer wastewater,and detail introduces the flow of treatment process,the date of designed and operation,the effect of operation and the character of process.The running results showed that the process is rational,runs stable,has high removal efficiency to NH3-N,and all effluent index attain the discharge standard.

In order to enhance efficiency of the nitrogen and phosphorus removal of sewage treatment plant, Taking Wu Longkou sewage treatment plant project in Zhengzhou as an example, this article introduces the structure, the working principle, the craft character, as well as the problems existed in the practical application of the improved oxidation ditch, and raises some corresponding processing countermeasures. Looked from the running situation of Wu Longkou sewage treatment plant, the improved oxidation ditch have certain advantages in city sewage treatment, such as high organic removing efficiency, good removing effect of nitrogen and phosphorus, low investing expenses and operating cost and so on. It is a craft that is worth promoting in urban sewage treatment.

This paper analyzed the present conditions and regional distribution,production of livestock and poultry manure pollutants,the level of comprehensive utilization of livestock excreta in Henan province.The result showed the low level of comprehensive utilization of livestock excreta with a large quantities.It also suggest that scientific planning,rational distribution are should taken to achieve clean culture;comprehensive utilization with combination of planting and breeding;and strengthen the environmental livestock excreta breeding,strengthen the law enforcement,and so on.
Referring to the environmental impact assessment of the rural energy ecological construction project using Asian Bank loans in Henan Province,through the monitoring of soil,kitchen air and courtyard runoff,the statistics of disease incidence to biogas farmer and non-biogas farmer,the effect of biogas construction on improving rural ecological environment were analyzed quantitatively.The results showed that the contents of available potassium,phosphorus,total nitrogen and organic matter in soil of biogas farmer were obviously higher than that for non-biogas farmer.The average content of CO,SO2,PM10 and NH3 in kitchen air of biogas farmer is lower than that for non-biogas farmer.The average content of SS,COD,TP,NH3-N in courtyard runoff of biogas farmer is lower than that for non-biogas farmer;the fly number in courtyard,the respiratory disease incidence and the gastrointestinal disease incidence were also lower for biogas farmer than that for the non-biogas farmer.
Multifunction UCT process was used in Matougang Sewage Treatment Plant,which can be flexibly adjusted to conventional UCT process,improved UCT process,A2/O process and inverted A2/O process with the change of sewage quality,sewage quantity and season.So it can reach the optimal operating condition in different environment.The operation results indicate that the process has high removal rates of COD,BOD and SS,and can solve the contradictory problems in nitrogen and phosphorus removal by other processes.The effluent indexes all reach the design requirement.
Nowadays,flood is one of the most serious natural disasters in the world.Its scientific and effective monitoring and assessment provided the foundation for the flood prevention and mitigation.The basic theory of the flood monitoring by satellite remote sensing was briefly introduced.The research progress on techniques of the flood water extraction,the calculation of the flooded area and the depth of the floodwater,and the impact assessment of flood disasters was summarized,based on satellite data,such as Landsat TM and ETM+,SPOT,EOS/MODIS and NOAA/AVHRR etc.It was concluded that the remote sensing technology for the floodwater extraction was matured.The calculation of flood area based on GIS was relatively matured.The floodwater depth was still difficult to obtain and the corresponding technology was needed to be improved further.The impact assessment technology was developing quickly,while the methods,models and the accuracy of the quantitative assessment were needed to be studied further.Based on those conclusions,the microwave remote sensing,artificial neural networks,GIS could be widely applied in the flood disaster satellite remote sensing monitoring,especially the remote sensing data could be extensively utilized in the assessment process.
Based on the data of the winter wheat over-wintering stage from 1979 to 2007 and climate data of 30 meteorological stations from 1957 to 2007 in Henan Province,the trends of the climate change were analyzed by using linear regression and the trend maps of each climate factor drawed by Spline.The results showed that the duration of overwintering stage became shorter in the most areas of Henan Province,but in the areas of Zhengzhou,Fengqiu and Xuchang,the duration presented a slightly prolonging trend.The accumulated temperature above 0℃ and the sunshine hours had close relationships with the duration of the over-wintering stage.The increased accumulated temperature above 0℃ and reduced sunshine hour might shorten the duration of the over-wintering stage.

According to the high concentration fermentation wastewater characteristics of high organic load, complicated constituents and difficultly to be treated, three successful application engineering practice of dynamic hydrolysis acidification method in high concentration fermentation wastewater were introduced to analyze the work principle ,the craft characteristic, the operational results and the best work conditions of dynamic hydrolysis acidification method. new method to treat high concentration fermentation wastewater was proposed.
Aiming at the characteristics of plentiful nutrition substance,high organic load of alcohol wastewater and being difficult to be treated,a treatment process of alcohol wastewater combined with resources comprehensive recycling and utilization was introduced as an engineering examples,and the running results and the economic benefits of the process were analyzed. From practical running,the process designed was rational, stable,and its economic benefit was remarkable.
