In present study, part of poplar wood flours (WF) was replaced by larix gmelini bark flours (BF) and the BF/WF/high density polyethylene (HDPE) composites were prepared by extrusion method .The flexural performances, tensile properties, impact and rheological properties of the resulting composite were tested .The study found that bark less than 10 weight part had no sig-nificantly effect on these properties , however , bark four of more than 10 weight part decreased the mechanical properties of WF /BF/HDPE composite .Addition of bark flowers could improve the fluidity of BF/WF/HDPE mixture and the efficiency of production .Va-riance analysis found that compared with composite by addition of 0 bark flowers, bending modulus, tensile strength and tensile modu-lus of materials were not significantly affected by 10 weight part .Rotating rheological tests showed that storage modulus and complex viscosity of melts reduced with the increasing of bark flours usage .When bark weight part was more than 20, the storage modulus and complex viscosity among each composite group were similar , respectively .Equilibrium temperature and equilibrium torque of WF /BF/HDPE composites increased with bark raising .
