This paper analyzes current research on exhaust systems,puts forward an overall development model with discussion of its importance,then sets up a comprehensive evaluation system for exhaust systems, and shows the significance of the study based on the flow process.The engine-exhaust system simulation model is built by GT-Power,and which is verified by test data.Taking the example of a muffler,the study is based on flow process.The DoE method is applied to design the muffler structure,the Pareto solutions are obtained and analyzed and then design requirements are proposed.According to the design requirements, optimized projects are obtained from the Pareto solutions,and then are evaluated based on the comprehensive evaluation system.Finally the optimized project reduces exhaust noise in low and middle speed and meanwhile has less impact on engine performance,which achieves the balance between the muffler and engine performance.
The finite element analysis(FEA) model for exhaust system has been established and verified in this paper.Using the collected acceleration signals as the boundary condition,the paper has calculated and analyzed the dynamic response force of the exhaust hook.The result shows that under engine excitation,the peak value of the hook load response force and that of the acceleration occur under the same frequency.Moreover,hook at the bent pipe bears relatively large dynamic response force due to the additional torque.Through sensitivity analysis of the hook stiffness,it is found that the exhaust system is more sensitive to hook stiffness in Z direction,therefore the hook dynamic response force can be reduced through optimizing the hook stiffness in Z direction.
Objective To evaluate the application of ultrapro hernia system(UHS) in tension-free repair of inguinal hernia.Methods The clinical data of 95 patients with inguinal hernia undergoing tension-free repair with UHS from July 2010 to November 2010 were reviewed retrospectively.Results All patients were cured and there was no perioperative death.The operating time lasted for 26~56min, the patients remained in the hospital for 3.3 d.No wound hematoma,infection,scrotal hydrocele occurred.There were no chronic pain,no induration,no sensation of foreign body,no scrotal swelling, no subcutaneous ecchymosis or no recurrence during follow-up period of 1~5 months.Conclusion The application of UHS is a safe and effective method for tension-free repair of inguinal hernia.
