Based on the decision of the President of the Russian Federation, interservice teams of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were formed to combat a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Italy and Serbia. Eight medical and nursing teams were formed from the medical personnel in each detachment, led by epidemiologists, each consisting of an anaesthesiologist (resuscitator), an infectious disease specialist (therapist), and an anesthesiologist nurse. Their main task was to provide medical care for patients with new coronavirus infection in the medical and preventive organizations of these countries. In order to accomplish their tasks and to provide high-quality medical care (protection of personnel from contamination by biological agents), each group was equipped with personal protective equipment. The work of the medical teams on the territory of Italy and Serbia consisted in sanitary and epidemiological reconnaissance, epidemiological examination of the outbreaks of the new coronavirus infection, organization of anti-epidemic measures and treatment of patients with COVID-19 in the medical and preventive organizations of these countries. Calculations of mobile aerosol disinfection complexes and auto-filling stations of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops were involved in carrying out anti-epidemic measures on a daily basis. As a result of the measures taken, experience was gained in using the forces and resources of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to localize the outbreaks of the new coronavirus infection in the territory of foreign countries. The joint work of the group of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and local authorities has reduced the incidence of a new coronavirus infection among the local population of Italy and Serbia.
Изучены эффективность применения ветеринарных препаратов при лечении варрооза у Apis mellifera caucasica и влияние варрооза на продуктивность пчелиных семей. Наилучший результат получен во второй группе - пчёл выращено на 0,36-7,8 % больше, чем в других группах.
The use of water with a modified isotopic composition in the diet of humans and animals, for example, with a reduced deuterium content, affects the rate of biological processes. In this regard, the targeted formation of the isotopic D / H gradient in the body can be used to increase its adaptive properties to external influences. Primates have a high anatomical and physiological similarity with humans, therefore, are an indispensable model for reproducing various pathological and toxic conditions in humans. The aim of the study was to study the effect of water with a low deuterium content on the hematological and biochemical blood parameters of rhesus monkeys and on the digestibility of nutrients of the diet. In the control group, primates consumed water with a natural regional content of deuterium equal to 150 mg / l, and in the experimental group - with reduced to 50 mg/l. The duration of the experiment was 35 days. The material for the study was venous blood, serum and feces of primates. Blood was drawn from monkeys before the use of deuterium depleted water and after the completion of the experiment. All blood samples (2.5-3.0 ml) were taken from the cubital or femoral veins of animals on an empty stomach and stabilized with a heparin solution. Laboratory studies of animal blood were performed on an automatic hematological analyzer (Beckman Coulter, USA) of the CoulterAcT 5diffCP brand. In order to study the effect of water with a reduced deuterium content on hematological parameters, we determined the number of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit, the average volume of red blood cells, red blood cell anisocytosis, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). The metabolism trial was divided into two periods. Preliminary - to exclude the influence of previous feeding and accustoming primates to cage conditions of keeping. Experimental - conducting a thorough accounting of consumed feed, excreted excrement. Feces were collected daily at the same time (morning and evening), weighed and ground in a mortar. At each collection, 50% of the homogenized mass was taken for analysis. The collected portions were stored in the refrigerator. After the end of the experimental (accounting) period in the collected feces, the initial moisture was determined by drying at 60-70 ℃ to constant weight. The resulting air-dry mass was thoroughly ground and analyzed. It has been found that the introduction of water with a reduced deuterium content into the diet of primates has a positive effect on feed conversion rate and blood biochemical parameters.
The aim of the research was to investigate the possibility of estrus induction in dairy sheep during the anestrous period using various hormonal preparations and finding out the effectiveness of this biotechnological method. Experiments on the estrus induction were conducted in the Nikolaev M.I. peasant farm of Krymsky region, Krasnodar Krai. The object of the research was lactating and dry sheep of the dairy breed "Lacaune" with a total number of 332 heads between the ages of 2.5 and 5 years. It is shown that in the anestrous season (from February to August) in the climatic conditions of the Krasnodar Krai with sufficiently high effectiveness (54.3-63.2%), it is possible to induce estrus in the Lacaune dairy sheep breed. In this case, the object of stimulating estrus can be both lactating and dry females. High fertility (75.0%) in sheep with induced estrus was established in the summer period. In the winter and spring seasons, this figure was 69.3% and 60.7%, respectively. The greatest effectiveness of estrus induction was established during hormonal stimulation of sheep during the summer period when the largest number of lambs (0.71) per one ewe was received. In the spring and winter seasons, this indicator was 0.37 and 0.58, respectively. Effective technology of hormonal estrus induction in the unsexual season allows for the planned reproduction of dairy sheep throughout the year for year-round rhythmic milk production.
Creating specialized lines is one of the techniques of genetic improvement and conservation of breeds and populations of the honeybee.The aim of this study was a comparative assessment of the diversity and differentiation degree of A. m. caucasica lines based on morphometric analysis and microsatellites (MS).Material for this study was the worker bees of Gray Mountain Caucasian breed (lines I-V, n = 728) which were selected in five apiaries in the Greater Sochi of Krasnodar krai.Morphometric analysis included such measurements as the length of the proboscis (LP, mm), width of third tergite (W3T, mm) and cubital index (CI).Molecular genetic studies were based on seven MS loci (A024, A88, A113, AP043, HB-C16-05, HB-THE-03, HB-C16-01).The level of variation between families for morphometric parameters was determined by two-way hierarchical analysis of variance.Genetic differences between families for MS were estimated by paired comparison of F st values.F st matrix was used for PCA-analysis.To determine the quantitative estimation of variation between families within lines we calculated F st , R st (AMOVA).The degree of line's differentiation for morphometric characters was evaluated by calculating the Euclidean distances.The obtained values were used to construct a dendrogram of similarity by a single bond (single linkage) of the hierarchical clustering algorithm.The differentiation of lines for MS was based on calculating the values of Nei genetic distances.Similarity dendrogram was constructed using the method of UP-GMA.We performed summary statistic using the software STATISTICA, GenAlEx (v.6.5.1),PAST (v.3.03).Morphometric analysis showed the presence of significant differences between the lines for LP and W3T whereas there was no difference between the lines for CI.The greater heterogeneity concerning studied traits in the lines II and V was revealed, and on the contrary, there was more consolidation in the lines III and IV.Bees of line I differed significantly from the rest of the lines on both traits, but they were characterized by significant differences between families in LP.Analysis of MS profiles showed similar trends in assessing the level of intra-and interfamily variability.We observed an excess of heterozygotes in the line I (F is = 0.048),which can be considered as an indication of the high heterogeneity.Bees of this line were characterized by a minimal individual (F it = 0.052) and the maximal interfamily variability (F st = 0,124).Lines II-V were characterized by a deficiency of heterozygotes (F is = 0.062-0.128),a relatively higher individual variability (F it = 0.143-0.189)and lower values of interfamily variability comparing to line I (F st = 0.095-0.104).The lowest interfamily differences were observed in the lines III and IV (F st = 0.096 and 0.095, respectively).Analysis of the differentiation of the studied lines for morphometric characteristics and MS revealed differences in the structure of the family tree.The dendrogram based on MS data is a reflection of the geographical origin of these lines.The structure of the family tree, based on morphometric characters, does not reflect the geographic closeness (differences) of origin or similarities (differences) in the economically useful traits of studied lines.Thus, the results of our studies of the morphometric parameters and MS show similar trends in assessing intra-and interline variation, but there are differences in assessing differentiation of lines using two methods.In the future complex approach will allow to identify not only breeds of bees with high accuracy, but also smaller taxonomic units.It is hoped that the research results in general can be used in breeding work to restore the purity of the honeybee breeds.
The veterinary well-being of bee colonies is the key to the productivity of the beekeeping industry. RNA viruses affect the health of honey bees and contribute to an increase in the loss of bee colonies around the world. The Deformed Wing Virus (DWV) and the closely related Varroa Destructor Virus-1 (VDV1) are the most common honeybee viruses and cause the death of bee colonies in Europe. By itself, VDV1 was identified as the main prognostic parameter of increased winter losses of bee colonies. Re-emerging recombinants have been found between the VDV1 and DWV strains in the United States. The presence of these recombinants poses an additional risk as VDV1-DWV-like recombinants constitute the most virulent honeybee viruses in Great Britain. We have obtained data on the productivity of Apis mellifera caucasica under conditions of the Krasnodar Territory when applying various acaricides with varroatosis invasion. The studies were carried out in 2019–2020. We determined the stability of Varroa d. to various acaricides and the effect of varroatosis invasion on the productivity of bee colonies. Experienced groups were formed according to the principle of analogous pairs. The number of mites in bee colonies was determined by express diagnostics in terms of the apiary. Varroatosis negatively affects the fertility of queen bees and bee colonies. The best result in 2020 was obtained in the first group - bees were grown by 0.36–7.8% more than in other groups. In this group, formic acid was used at a dosage of 30 ml.
