The highest and largest PV pump system in the world was installed at Yishala, Pingdi Township, Renhe County, Panzhihua, Sichuan Province, China, beside Jinsa River (Yangzi River). The intelligent control scheme of three pumps, super high water head and the system optimal configuration were discussed. The water head of system is 887 m. Installed pump capacity is 117.5 kW and installed PV modules are 164.64 kW. The PV pumps can pump water over 220 m3 per good sunny day. The finished project can be a good reference to solve water supply at similar regions.
