The possibility of wide-range control by generation of the diode-pumped multiloop self-phase-conjugate Nd:YAG laser using different passive Q-switches with variable initial transmittances are experimentally investigated changing the peak power by 100 times up to 28 MW at semipermanent output energy.
Solid-state Nd 3+:YAG diode-pumped laser with multi-loop cavity passively-Q-switched by YAG:Cr 4+ and GSGG:Cr 4+ saturable absorbers is investigated. Peak power variation range from 130 kW to 19 MW has demonstrated with only 20% variation of the train energy. Beam quality parameter M 2 = 1.15 1.4. The extremely high peak power 28MW is reached.
