The variety of the components of the soil cover not zonal chernovoy taiga of the Tom-Yasyky in accordance with their attachment to the elements of landscape. On the basis of the analysis of the profiles the list of factors of the differentiation of the soil cover is offered. The position of the investigated territory in the system of differentiation of the landscape of the South East of the Western Siberia is shown.

Perculiarities of soil formation on steep slope of a southern exposition in Sub-Taig in the around the Tom were considered. Extra-zone landscapes and soils is caused by deficiency of moistening in trans-eluvial and transit landscapes, lateral migration of a moisture in upper horizons.

In work the characteristic steppe vegetation of Tomsk area is given which are described as nature sanctuaries. The problematics of an origin of these sites, their modern condition, preservation of rare kinds in structure protected natural territories is considered.

The basic parameters of cover soil species of Sub-Taiga in the region around the Tom have been considered. This territory is a geosystem of transient type which is characterized by variety of processes, distinguishing it from other territories of Taiga's region. The processes of soil functioning have been studied on the basis of soils of natural biogeocenosis and their agrogenic analogues. The systematic status of soils explored has been validated, the general evolutional trend has been determined.
