Pulmonary fibrosis is a fatal disease with poor prognosis. Its pathogenesis is still unclear and there is no effective treatment nowdays. The sirtuin family, a kind of deacetylase, is closely related to various physiological and pathological processes such as genome stability, aging, inflammation, oxidative stress, apoptosis, autophagy and fibrosis etc. In this paper, the role and mechanism of sirtuin family members in pulmonary fibrosis was reviewed, in order to provide scientific data for clearing the pathogenesis and seeking effective therapeutic measures of pulmonary fibrosis.
Mitochondrial oxidative stress is an imbalance between oxidation and antioxidation in mitochondria, which causes a series of cell dysfunction and participates in the occurrence and development of various diseases. The occurrence and development of pulmonary fibrosis is also closely related to mitochondrial oxidative stress. In this paper, the roles of mitochondrial oxidation related genes in pulmonary fibrosis was reviewed, in order to provide scientific information for the pathogenesis and related research of pulmonary fibrosis.
Pulmonary fibrosis is an interstitial lung disease with a very poor prognosis, and there are no effective drugs to treat it. Iron is a very important trace element in human body, and its metabolic balance is of great significance to human health. More and more studies have found that genes involved in regulating iron metabolism play important roles in the genesis and development of pulmonary fibrosis. In this paper, the roles and mechanisms of iron metabolism-related genes in pulmonary fibrosis were reviewed, providing scientific basis for illuminating the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis and seeking new therapeutic measures.
