Technology investment promotion is an important measure to comprehensively implement the new development concept and accelerate the gathering of high-level technological innovation resources in the digital economy era. The investment attraction behavior of Taicang municipal government will gradually shift to technology investment attraction. Science and technology investment promotion is on the front line of the economic “battlefield”. As a special frontier form of investment promotion in Taicang city, it is of great significance to promote the transformation and upgrading of Taicang’s economic structure, break through development difficulties, and embody and implement the “Taicang speed” in high-quality development. Taicang city has a foundation for science and technology investment promotion, facing new opportunities and difficulties. How to recognize science and technology investment promotion, how to complement and advance with industry investment promotion, and how to solve the existing problems in science and technology investment promotion are discussed in this article based on the actual situation, and ideas and measures are proposed.
