PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy sheet for a heat insulator which has excellent strength and has excellent emboss formability and press formability as well even if a raw material blended with brazing sheet scrap is used, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy sheet for a heat insulator is composed of an aluminum alloy comprising, by mass, 0.4 to 2.0 Si, 0.2 to 0.6 Fe, 0.1 to 0.7% Cu, 0.5 to 1.5% Mn, 0.5 to 2.0% Mg and 0.05 to 1.0% Zn, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. The aluminum alloy sheet has a recrystallized structure over the whole cross-section of the sheet thickness, and also has a recrystallized grain diameter of ≤50 μm and an electric conductivity of 43.0 to 49.5% IACS.
