Abstract. Uterine myoma is one of the most widespread gynecological pathology among reproductive women older than 30 years. It is known, that often progress of this pathology is associated with genetic and endocrinologic factors. The immune system is not evident still. The aim of this study was to analyze the state of patient's immune system using flow cytometry assessment of different subpopulations of lymphocytes in peripheral blood. We have examined 46 patients with simple and proliferating forms of the myoma, with different variants of clinical symptoms. Absolute and relative content of different subpopulations of lymphocytes was not differed from normal population's standard. Significant differences of B-lymphocytes and natural killers content were observed between groups with simple and proliferating forms of disease. It was shown that metrorrhagia is associated with high level of T-lymphocytes and T-killers. It was noted that decreasing of B-lymphocytes content took place in cases with large number of uterine nodes. Obtained data are not sufficient for complete understanding of the role of immune system in pathogenesis of this disease, but they confirm that using of immunomodulating therapy is expedient for complex treatment of uterine myoma.
The purpose of the research was to study clinical and immunological efficacy of a synthetic interferon inductive preparation Cycloferon-liniment («Polysan», St. Petersburg, Russia) in local treatment of some vaginal infectious diseases (nonspecific bacterial vaginitis, bacterial vaginosos and vaginal candidosis). We also studied its immunocorrective effects. The research was carried out with placebo control group. We examined 41 patients of reproductive age. 27 patients were treated with Cycloferon liniment and 14 patients received placebo course. The methods of the research included clinical, microbiological and immunilogical investigations. Clinical efficacy was assessed by the state of vaginal ecosystem; immunological efficacy was estimated by changes in immunological parameters of blood lymphocyte phenotype, non-specific indicators, immunoglobulin composition) and of vaginal secreta (immunoglobulin composition, permeability of vaginal histohaematic barrier and type of immunoglobulin production). Clinical efficacy of the preparation was up to 88, 8 %. The rate of pathologic vaginal ecosystem types was 2, 6 times lower when compared to the placebo group. The preparation had no side effects. It did not cause any allergy. We observed changes in immunological parameters of sera of the treated patients: the initially increased number of CD8+ and CD25+ lymphocytes decreased and achieved the normal level; the CD4/CD8 ratio became normal; the phagocytic neutrophil number increased. The basic mechanism of action of Cycloferon-liniment encompasses its influence on vaginal local immunity. The preparation increases permeability of vaginal histohaematic barrier; it increases local IgG and IgA concentrations owing to the enhanced diapedesis of the immunoglobulins through the vessels and to the increased local synthesis of these immunoglobulins. In 10 patients with bronchial asthma (BA) treated conventionally (control group), 10 BA patients on absolute diet therapy (group 1) and 10 BA patients in absolute diet therapy combined with wheat herb juice (group 2) tolerance to 12 antibiotics of different classes and some immunity factors were determined using a complex of diagnostic methods. The latter implies: case history, humoral and cell immunity defense system tests and special tests (chemical erythrograms and leukocyte migration inhibition test in plane capillary tubes with tested drugs). The data obtained evidence for increased tolerance of the antibiotics in groups 1 and 2 as well as for changes in humoral defense system, especially in immunoglobulin E. The drug tolerance may be a therapeutic criterion of absolute diet therapy in bronchial asthma patients.
