To compare the quality of life of patients treated for hand bone fractures, 120 patients after internal pin and external fixation were examined. For the study purposes, the special questionnaires were used to determine the quality of life. The data obtained give evidence that using of surgical treatment allows to achieve the positive dynamics of patients’ quality of life, the most marked in patients with external fixation technique. It should be mentioned that in cases of rehabilitation period elongation the level of quality of life has not been connected with effectiveness of used surgical technique.

Целью нашей работы являлось определение наиболее безопасных зон и направлений введения костных фиксаторов для внеочагового остеосинтеза кисти. 12 препаратов кистей трупов заливались красителем и силиконовой массой, топографо-анатомические соотношения исследовались на распилах, проведенных на различных уровнях. Сделаны выводы о наличии безопасных и нежелательных зон для установки фиксаторов.

For the purpose of substantiation of the advantages of use of the half-pin fixators with buttress thread in the devices for transosseous external osteosynthesis we have made a mathematical analysis of the thread types in the half-pins which are most often used in devices for external fixation and have proposed an original half-pin osteofixator of our own design as a prototype. Using a special loading-and-measurement system the radial and axial strength of attaching the half-pins of Fourdiuck' s design, that of CITO and SKID as well as that of our own design was studied in bone metaphyses and diaphyses. The analysis of the results obtained allows to affirm statistically reliable superiority of the half-pin of our own design in the sense of the radial and axial strength of its attaching in comparison with the half-pins mentioned.
