Методом рентгеноструктурного анализа исследованы 7-бромо-5-(трет-бутил)-2-фенил-1H-инден (1) и 6,7-дибромо-2,4-диметил-2,3-дигидро-1H-инден-1-он (2). Обсуждается конформационное строение, колебательный спектр молекул, топология и иерархическая сложность кристаллических структур. Структура 1 слоистая и содержит молекулярные слои (100) топологического типа tts. Структура 2 не содержит протяженных молекулярных ансамблей, но при этом демонстрирует короткие контакты Br...O, соединяющие молекулы в центросимметричный димер.

The paper describes the preparation methods for two tetrahydroindanones of spiro structure.
A new procedure was developed for the synthesis of a broad range of ansa -zirconocenes containing bis(2-methyl-4-arylindenyl)dimethylsilane ligands. The method is based on the palladium-catalyzed reaction of halogen-substituted bis(indenyl)dimethylsilanes with various organozinc compounds. The aryl-substituted bridging ligands thus prepared serve as the starting compounds for the synthesis of ansa -zirconocenes, which can be used as components of promising catalysts for propylene polymerization.
A solution of metallic ytterbium in liquid ammonia reacts readily with various carbonyl complexes of metals to form the corresponding lanthanide carbonylmetallates. The reaction of an excess of Yb in liquid NH 3 with [CpFe(CO) 2 ] 2 gave (THF) 4 Yb[Fe(CO) 2 Cp] 2 in 42% yield. It was suggested that the resulting complex contains two equivalent Yb−Fe bonds.
The ligand-exchange equilibria in cyclopentadienyl and metal carbonyl complexes of lanthanum have been qualitatively studied by139La NMR spectroscopy: 2X1X2X3La ⇋ X1X22 La + X1X3, La, where X1=X2=Cp, X3=I; X1=X2 = 1, 3-(Me3Si)2C5H3, X3=Cl; X1=Ru(CO)2Cp; X2=Cp, X3=I. Similar equilibria are typical of the coordination chemistry of light lanthanides.
Cp*2Lu(μ-Cl)2 (1) was isolated following the reaction of Cp*Na (Cp* = 1, 3-(Me3Si)2C5H3) with LuCl3 in THF and subsequent treatment with toluene at 80°C. An X-ray structural investigation of1 was performed (MoKα radiation, 2933 reflections,R = 0.020). The crystals are triclinic,a = 10.744(3) Å,b=11.821(2) Å, c=12.966(3) Å, a=71.54(1)°, β=85.32(2)°, γ=74.83(1)°,Z = 2, space groupP-1. Two Lu atoms withdistorted tetrahedral coordination are linked by two chloride bridges with a mean Lu-Cl distance equal to 2.62 Å.
The ruthenium carbonyl derivatives of lutecium (THF)Cp2LuRu(CO)2Cp (1), (THF)[1, 3(Me3Si)2C5H3]2LuRu(CO)2Cp, and (C5Me5)2LuRu(CO)2Cp were prepared by treating Na[CpRu(CO)2] with lutecium halides in THF. An X-ray structural investigation of1 was performed (MoKα radiation, 1828 reflections,R = 0.037). The crystals are monoclinic,a = 14.083(2) Å,b = 8.347(2) Å,c = 17.331(2) Å, β=106.98°,Z= 4, space group P21/n. The Lu-Ru distance is equal to 2.955(2) Å.
The reactivity of the ruthenium carbonyl derivatives of lutecium (THF)Cp'2LuRu(CO)2Cp [Cp'=Cp (1) and 1, 3-(Me3Si)2C5H3 (2)] has been studied. It has been shown that the reactions of complex 1 withi.-Pr2CO and of2 with HCl, H2O, and HgCl2 are accompanied by cleavage of the Lu-Ru bond. The reaction of2 with H2O gives [1, 3-(Me3Si)2C5H3]2Lu (μ-OH)2 (3), which has been characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis (MoKα radiation,R=0.0280, 2750 reflections). The crystals are monoclinic,a = 15.638(6) Å,b=15.787(2) Å,c = 12.188(1) Å, β=99.06°,Z= 2, space group P21/n. Centrosymmetric dimer3 has two μ-OH ligands, and the Lu-O and Lu...Lu interatomic distances are 2.264(4) Å (mean) and 3.579(1) Å, respectively. The structure behavior of3 in a THF solution has been discussed.
The cluster [Na(DME)3]2[W3(CO)14] (1) was prepared by treating CpLuCl2 with an equimolar mixture of Na2W(CO)5 and Na2W2(CO)10 in DME and characterized by X-ray analysis (MoKα radiation, 653 reflections,R = 0.125). The crystals are rhombic,a=18.749(4) Å,b=15.074(3) Å,c=9.505(3) Å,Z = 2, space groupCmmm. The W-W distance in the W-W-W chain is 2.79 Å. The carbonyl ligands at the tungsten atoms are eclipsed. Compound 1 is the first example of a homometallic carbonyl cluster of an early transition metal. It is suggested that CpLuCl2 interacts with Na2W(CO)5 to afford the highly reactive species CpLu\( \cdot \underline { \cdot W} \)(CO)5 which further reacts with Na2W2(CO)10 to form1.

The results of an investigation involving the catalysis of octene-1 hydroformylation with heterobimetallic catalysts, cobalt carbonyl derivatives of lanthanides, are reported.
Bis(cyclopentadienyl)(tetrahydrofurano)(p-tolyl)lutecium was found to be an efficient catalyst for the hydrosilylation of olefins and ketones.

The solvolytic demercuration reaction of 4-methoxybenzylmercuric chloride (I) was investigated. In alcohol solutions the reaction is autocatalytic in nature; the catalyst appears to be HCl which is formed during the course of the reaction with solvent.
