The results of the study of the aquatic and semi-aquatic flora of Astrakhan State Nature Biosphere Reserve are presented. The studies complements the data on the composition of vascular plants of the reservoirs and watercourses and allows to define the information about the distribution of some rare species in the reserve. 228 species of macrophytes including hybrids and hybridogeneous species identified. 38 species indicated for the reserve for the first time.
New association Salvinio natanti-Zizanietum latifoliae was distinguished and described in the territory of the Astrakhan Biosphere Reserve.
There are given the research results of aquatic macrophytes flora of Western Substeppe Ilmens within Astrakhan region. 133 plant species (including subspecies and hybrids) were identified, 9 of which were first discovered for the flora of Astrakhan region.
