The article considers the peculiarities in the geotectonic development and ore potential of geological structures in Southern Altai, Eastern Kazakhstan. The territory encompasses the southeastern flanks of the tectonic zones of Rudny Altai and Kalba of Greater Altai, which are part of the overall system of the Central Asian mobile belt. The spatial adjacency of geological and ore-bearing structures of different ages and composition is emphasized, which were subjected to intense metamorphic and hydrothermal–metasomatic alterations under the influence of the Dzungarian massif and Siberian Plate and subsequent thrust–strike-slip deformations. The iron ore, copper, polymetallic, gold, and rare metal deposits formed in various geodynamic settings are characterized. The ore-controlling factors and criteria for forecasting and prospecting for ore objects are noted.
The objective of this studying is identifying the gold mineralization and associated elements in gold-bearing stockworks of gold-sulphide-quartz type large deposits in Northern and Eastern Kazakhstan; detecting geological and structural position of the ore stockworks.Complex compounds of silver and gold with tellurium have been revealed in the Sekisovskoye and, with tellurium and bismuth in ores of the Vasilkovskoye deposit. The complexity of ores involves setting a versatile task of basic and trace elements recording during all stages of work: from geological evaluation to production exploration. Modern processing technology and the latest development techniques allow classifying those fields as objects of industrial development priority. Studying them has scientific significance in the matters of endogenous ore formation, and creates a prerequisite to identifying promising new areas and deposits, both in Kazakhstan and in other parts of the world.
Vera-Char - Baladzhalnidal structure (NS) of the rank of the ore site is identified by the author as a promising regional research level, the estimated gold resources in it are estimated at 574,361 kg. As a result of a detailed study, to which this article is devoted, the prospective areas are localized to the rank of ore fields and deposits.Based on the paradigm of a systemic approach to the formation of gold deposits, the Vera-Char-Baladzhal focal structure was reconstructed, regularities in the location of deposits were established in its boundaries and three promising areas for the formation of large fields were identified: the Baladzhal predicted ore field, Vera-Char forecast ore field and the Marinovsko-Kyzyltas predicted ore field. Their total area is 37.5 km(2) or 5.8% of the area of predictive research.
