Congenital mesoblastic nephroma (CMN) is a rare primary kidney tumor in young children, characterized by intermediate biological behavior. The main treatment method is the radical removal of the tumor. The purpose of this study is to analyze our own experience in the treatment of patients with a diagnosis of CMN. Parents of patients agreed to the use of information about them, including photographs, in scientific research and publications.
The inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is an extremely rare type of liver tumors in young children. This article presents a clinical case of the development of IMT of the liver in 11-month-old child with the detected chimeric TPM3ex6 / ALKex20 transcript. State-of-the-art data on the clinical presentation of IMT, histological and molecular genetic characteristics of the tumor, differential diagnosis of hepatic masses depending on the level of alpha-fetoprotein, the principles of treatment of IMT, based on a review of the scientific literature, including data on the effectiveness of ALK inhibitors are described.
The reaction of direct hydroalkoxylation of norbornene in the presence of H-beta zeolite catalyst has been studied. It has been found that the selectivity for exo -alkoxynorbornanes of the reaction of norbornene with monohydric alcohols (saturated, unsaturated, or aromatic) reaches 98% at a conversion of 78–98% of the unsaturated compound. The reaction of norbornene with diols (ethylene glycol and 2-butene-1,4-diol) in the presence of H-beta zeolite affords mono- and diethers, whose yield and ratio can be controlled by varying reaction parameters.
The catalytic properties of zeolites HY, HBeta, and HZSM-12 and of mesoporous amorphous aluminosilicate in liquid-phase esterification of aliphatic (monobasic C 1 –C 18 , dibasic C 6 , C 10 ) and aromatic (benzoic, trimellitic, phthalic) carboxylic acids with butanol were studied. Zeolite HBeta appeared to be the most active catalyst. Procedures were developed for preparing esters in the presence of zeolitic catalyst HBeta, ensuring 100% selectivity of ester formation at 90–98% conversion of the acid.
The high catalytic activity and selectivity of zeolites HBeta and HZSM-12 were found in the synthesis of ( E )-4-phenyl-3-buten-2-one by the reaction of styrene with acetic anhydride.
