The estimation results of the initial total unconventional resources of hydrocarbon in Domanik type sediments, the Khadum and Bazhenov formations are provided. The reasonability of estimating hydrocarbon resources in these deposits by the volumetric method is substantiated. The stratigraphic interval of their distribution is given. The technique of oil and gas geological zoning based on the mapping of structural and facies zones, the degree of catagenetic transformation of organic matter, and the boundary values of the thickness of carbonaceous rocks in the section is described. The criteria for the allocation of pay intervals that make up the effective part of the section are determined. The choice of parameters such as porosity coefficient, oil recovery coefficient, oil saturation coefficient, correction factor and oil density is justified. For each complex of deposits, adjustments related to the features of the geological structure of the estimation targets, the conditions of their occurrence and the degree of geological and geophysical study have been introduced into the estimation of total geological resources. The volumes of total geological and recoverable resources of unconventional hydrocarbon sources for the Volga–Ural, Timan–Pechora, Black Sea–North Caucasus, West Siberian and Lena–Tunguska oil and gas provinces are given. The conducted research has rationalized extensive resources, the recovery of which can compensate for the decrease in oil volumes from traditional deposits.
Summary At the present time the creative team of FSUE "VNIGNI" developed an innovative technology regional seismic 3D «RegionalSeys-3D» based on the integration of methodologies Sediment-Capacity Modeling (SCM) and Seismic-Formational Prognosis (SFP). This technology is tested in a number of regions of the Russian Federation. To construct a three-dimensional model of the region, in accordance with this technology, the two components are required: a typical model of the basin (the Integrated Seismic Formational Passport (ISFP) which is an seismic analogue of that model; a map of the types of the section of the the basin, which is created based on a priori structural, stratigraphic, formational and sequence stratigraphic models or based on the ISFP. As a result of the convolution of these two elements the regional seismological cube is constructed. Prospective and predicted objects are selected using the slices of this cube. Then the authors made the prediction of reservoir properties of productive interval within the selected objects using the Spectral-Velocity Prediction Technology. We can use the resulting maps and cubes of reservoir properties for the basin modeling and planning of geological exploration works.
The study presents a description of a new type of Cambrian section penetrated in Vostok 4 well in the southeastern part of the West Siberian geosyneclise (Krasnoyarsk Territory). The drilled succession is well characterized by the fossil evidence and can be considered a key section for the east of the WSG. The section comprises all three divisions of the Cambrian and is subdivided into the Oksym, Tyya, Averin, Kolchum, and Evenki Formations, based on the composite log data for an interval of 2262–5105 m. The Oksym Formation (the age equivalent of the Usol’e Formation) and Kolchum Formation are first identified and described in this study. The section is mostly carbonate, argillaceous–carbonate, sulfate–carbonate, and terrigenous sediments deposited in a back-reef setting of the Yenisei salt-bearing basin.
