Introduction. Intra-laboratory comparison tests play an important role in ensuring the quality and reliability of research outcomes in laboratories. These tests allow researchers to evaluate the accuracy and reproducibility of the methods they use in their work, as well as to identify potential sources of error and inconsistency. The results of these tests are shared with experts to confirm competence within the accreditation. Typically, comparison tests are carried out in laboratory conditions in a familiar and calm environment for the testers. However, when laboratories conduct research as part of a special assessment of working conditions (SAWC) they are required to conduct on-site comparisons at real-world facilities, where customers may unwittingly disrupt the process and directly affecting the quality of the measurements. The aim of this study is to evaluate the quality of on-site intra-laboratory comparison tests using the example of determining the dust content in a bricklayer's work environment on a construction site, and to determine the minimum number of measurements necessary and sufficient for this purpose.Materials and Methods. To determine the dustiness of the bricklayer's workplace, a weighing method was used. This involved collecting dust on filters and then weighing them to determine the concentration. The quality assessment of intra-laboratory tests was conducted in accordance with GOST R ISO 5725-1-2002 "Accuracy (trueness and precision) of measurement methods and results. Part 1. General principles and definitions".Results. At the bricklayer's workplace, a 1.6-fold excess of the one-time maximum permissible dust concentration was detected. The average dust concentration at the workplace under study was: Kp2 = 9.57 ± 0.81 mg/m3, the convergence of the results obtained was r = 8.68 %, the relative error δ = 8.50 %. It was revealed that the maximum allowable difference between the results of the two tests was 0.84 mg/m3. The difference in direct measurements of the mass of the two samples should be no more than 0.1 mg.Discussion and Conclusion. The results obtained demonstrated the possibility of conducting a minimum number of measurements that, under reproducible conditions, are considered satisfactory and could be provided to experts for confirming the competence of the laboratory. As part of a special assessment of working conditions, employees of the object under study are recommended to use personal respiratory protection equipment that offers protection against highly dispersed dust particles.

Introduction . In the construction industry, there has recently been a positive trend towards a decrease in injury rates. The authors have identified the specific conditions of construction work as a source of occurrence of prerequisites for accidents. The paper provides the analysis of a statistical sample of data on accidents and occupational injuries in the construction industry, which shows that the sources of the vast majority of cases of industrial injuries are avoidable factors. Problem Statement . The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between the accident rate in the construction industry and several factors related to the education and qualifications of employees. Theoretical Part . As the basic information, the data of statistical reporting on occupational injuries provided by the Federal State Statistics Service, as well as materials from literary sources of domestic and foreign authors, were used. The method of complex assessment of the qualification of personnel is proposed. Conclusions . Functional dependences of the frequency of accidents at the enterprise on the criterion of qualification of personnel are determined. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the level of education of employees of construction enterprises, the correspondence of their basic education to the profile of the enterprise's activities and the frequency of professional development positively affect the overall state of the occupational safety system at the enterprise, including the reduction in the number of accidents.
Introduction. Modern construction is characterized by work at a height using stairs. The article presents various engineering solutions aimed at preventing injuries during such work.Problem Statement. The objective of this study is to compare the available engineering solutions aimed at preventing the upper part of the ladder from shifting when performing work at height.Theoretical Part. The work shows the ranking of the existing technical means that allow fixing the upper part of the ladder on the surface of the support and reducing the risk of sliding the upper part of the ladder on the support. It is shown that the structure fixed to the support has the least risk in ensuring the safety of work at height.Conclusion. The article defines the most promising directions of development of technical solutions against shifting the upper part of the ladder.
The purpose of the research – hazard analysis and calculation of the level of occupational risk at the bricklayer’s workplace. The scientific task that was solved in the course of the study was the analysis of the dangers associated with each other by various technological processes during stone work. The result of the study is to determine the level of professional risk by the method of a three-level scale of damage based on the analysis of the main characteristics. For this study, the main hazards in the workplace were identified and categorized. A register has been compiled based on the identified hazards. For clarity of the final data, a table was formed.
Abstract The article is devoted to the study of aspiration systems and pneumatic transport in the workshops for the rubber products manufacturing. The methods for controlling dust from the rubber production plants to create favorable conditions in the operators’ working areas have been developed. A description of the existing and proposed schemes of pneumatic conveying systems has been presented. The new switch valves for pneumatic conveying systems have been considered.
Works at heights are a hazardous activity. The most common in industrial and economic activities works at heights are carried out on the stairs. Injury statistics in the Russian Federation indicate that when performing work at heights, the proportion of injuries is about 25 percent of their total number. A large number of injuries are recorded in everyday life from falling when performing work at heights from the stairs. Falling down the stairs is the second leading cause of industrial accidents in the US construction industry. A significant part of these incidents occurs at the construction sites and during operation when using extension ladders. Injuries from falling down the height, including down a ladder, are usually severe. About 70% of injuries are with serious consequences. When working with portable ladders, the most common cause of falls and injuries is the stairs’ sliding. The article presents the engineering solutions aimed at eliminating the sliding of the upper part of the stairs during works on the support. An assessment of these engineering solutions for various options for their application volumes has been performed.
Introduction. Currently, there are increasing threats of wildfires that destroy landscapes, economic objects and human lives.Problem Statement. The purpose of this study was to compare some innovative technologies for extinguishing wildfires and study the prospects for research in this direction.Theoretical Part. Technologies for extinguishing wildfires are being developed in several empirical directions. We use aerosols of metal-containing compounds and dispersed liquids with gas, as well as unmanned remotely controlled aircraft for extinguishing forest fires. For crown forest fires, a fire barrier is used. To extinguish peat fires in hard-toreach places, a helicopter equipped with fire-fighting missiles is used. Peat fires are also extinguished by creating a vertical curtain using fast-hardening foam based on a solution of carbamide-formaldehyde resin. According to the concept of patentology, technology is considered as a set of functionally related technical objects and methods protected by patents, based on their innovative significance. System-forming elements in this case are concepts based on the characteristics of both technical objects and technologies, and patent objects.Conclusion. It is advisable to build long-term plans for creating patent objects in the field of extinguishing natural fires. It is necessary to consider the scope of the patent results and outcomes of patentological analysis in accordance with the basic criteria of achieving a technical result of design technology, degree of innovation and empirical orientation.
Introduction. In the conditions of modern production, there is an increase in electrical injuries among workers. The article deals with the problem of injuries and characteristics of occurrence of electrical injuries in the workplace.Problem Statement. The purpose of this study is to analyze statistical data and materials for investigating industrial injuries. The aim of the study is to determine the characteristic causes of electrical injuries in the workplace among workers and the main affecting factors.Theoretical Part. The basic information used is the statistical data on occupational injuries provided by the Federal State Statistics Service.Conclusion.
