Protein composition was studied in order to determine the fractional structure of fruits kernels of 7 walnut cultivars ('Alminsky', 'Arkad', 'Burlyuk', 'Dolinniy', ' Podarok Valentiny', 'Karlik 3', 'Karlik 5') of the Nikita Botanical Gardens selection grown in soil and climatic conditions of the foothill Crimea. Electrophoresis was carried out in a polyacrylamide gradient gel (6-12%). During the study of the analyzed plant material, we found significant differences for a group of proteins with molecular weights from 5 to 25 kDa. This is typical for fruit samples of three cultivars of walnut - 'Podarok Valentiny', 'Dolinniy', and 'Alminsky', which exhibit significant differences in the analyzed indicators both in the profile of the molecular weights of proteins and in their quantitative content. The obtained results indicate the possibility of using the protein profile as an identifier for the cultivar of analyzed plant material. Further investigations are planned to study the amino acid sequence of proteins in the light fraction of proteins, and also to establish the level of their expression in different cultivars.
The elemental composition of the kernels of the fruits of seven cultivars of walnut of the Nikita Botanical Gardens cultivated in the soil-climatic conditions of the foothill and flat-steppe agroclimatic zones of the Crimea was investigated. The investigated walnut samples were transferred to the solution in a microwave for the decomposition of samples by the wet ashing method. The solutions thus obtained were analyzed on an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer. In addition, the content of Al, Ca, Si, and B was analyzed on an inductively coupled plasma spectrometer with optical emission detection. It was determined that the content of the elements, depending on the cultivar, varied within the following ranges: K - 340-432; P - 361-421; Mg - 122-161; Fe - 1.312.51; Mn - 1.46-5.01; Cu - 1.26-2.06; Zn - 2.16-4.65 mg 100 g(-1).
A series of N,N′-disubstituted selenoureas containing an adamantane fragment have been synthesized in 23–75% yields. Procedures for the isolation and purification of aromatic isoselenocyanates have been improved. The chemical shift of the C=Se carbon nucleus in the 13C NMR spectra of selenoureas has been refined. The synthesized selenoureas have been found to be promising as inhibitors of not only epoxide hydrolase (sEH-H) but also phosphatase domains (sEH-P) of human soluble epoxide hydrolase.
In the context of import substitution, the actual task is to produce breeding and seed products based on agricultural biotechnologies, as well as long-term field tests of the latest biotechnological and breeding forms of crops with specified characteristics, which is particularly noted in the Comprehensive program of biotechnology development in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2020. The analysis of the literature data revealed that the study of the elemental composition of walnut domestic breeding forms were not carried out. The composition of the elements present in the kernel of 7 walnut cultivars from the Nikitsky Botanical garden, cultivated in soil-climatic conditions of the Crimea Peninsula, was determined using Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ISP-MS) and Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AEC). It is established that walnut kernel contains significant amounts of: iron, manganese, zinc, boron and copper. It is revealed that the macro and microelements composition of the Juglans regia L. fruits kernel Crimean selection is almost similar to that of the kernels of varieties of the walnut cultivated in Romania, USA and France, with the exception of increased content of Ca in the cores of the Crimean varieties. Studied varieties of walnut are source of essential macronutrients and micronutrients, including: Ca, Zn, Cu, Mn, Fe, P and Mg, and can be used as components in the development of therapeutic diets for the prevention of osteomalacia, osteoporosis, anemia (hypochromic, microcytic), hypogonadism, and growth disorders in children.
Protein composition of fruits kernels of 7 walnut cultivars of Nikita Botanical Gardens selection grown in soil and climatic conditions of the foothill Crimea ('Alminsky', 'Arkad', 'Burlyuk', 'Dolinny', 'Podarok Valentiny', 'Karlik 3', 'Karlik 5') were studied and the fractional structure was determined by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) and 2-mercaptoethanol treatment. The observed change in the molecular weight profile can be explained by breaking thio-diester bonds in oligomeric protein complexes formation. The obtained results were similar for all walnut cultivars, studied which indicates the possible functionality of these proteins only in a form of complexes in their native state.
Reactions of adamantan-1(2)-amines and adamantan-1(2)-ylalkanamines with ethyl isothiocyanatoacetate afforded ethyl ({[adamantan-1(2)-ylalkyl]carbamothioyl}amino)acetates in 85–95% yields. The hydrolysis of ethyl {[(adamantan-2-yl)carbamothioyl]amino}acetate in alkaline medium resulted in the formation of {[(adamantan-2-yl)carbamothioyl]amino}acetic acid in a virtually quantitative yield.
