The article presents current data on the anatomy of the parathyroid glands, physiology of calcium metabolism in the body, prevalence, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis of hyperparathyroidism. The paper reveals a clinical case of diagnosis and treatment of primary hyperparathyroidism
The article describes the case of fetal giant cytokine-induced goiter development in the mother, infected by AIDS and hepatitis C.
The decrease of free-radical oxidation indices is observed in patients with passive-defensive pattern of behaviour response due to the increase of cortisol content as well as to the advance of a number of cellular and humoral immunity values.
Our data produced evidence that previous hypo kinetic stress completely abolished glucocorticoid -dependent anxiolitic action and promoted to development of anxiogenic disoders. These shifts were associated with enhancement of lipoperoxidation in hippocamp
The purpose of the study carried out was to assess lymphocyte infiltration in the thyroid gland in different pathological states. The Avtandilov`s morphometrical point grid was used. The authors have developed the assessment formula including: I= (L/N)*100%, where Irate of lymphocyte infiltration, expressed in percentage, Lnumber of grid points overlapped by lymphocytes, N common number of grid points. The data obtained allowed to subdivide lymphocyte infiltration into 4 severity levels: 1) firsth (612%), 2) second (21-36%), 3) third (40 65%), 4) fourth (68-100%).
