Solitary fibrous tumor is a rare neoplasm with the borderline biological nature and a tendency to the locally destructive growth. The most common site of the tumor is the pleura but other sites do occur. The ENT-organs are affected extremely rarely. A few cases of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses as the primary sites of this neoplasm have been described. Pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma occurs at these anatomic sites rarely as well. In the article a case of solitary fibrous tumor and pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses manifested within 3 years is presented. Rhabdomyosarcoma had a fatal clinical course.
Radiotherapy remains one of the basic methods in larynx cancer treatment, but its combination with surgery increase the rate of wound complications. The article shows results of complicated wounds biopsy analyses of patients with larynx cancer treated by thermoand photochromo-ultrasonic method in combination with antioxidants.
Late radiation injuries appear in 5—15% of patients after radiotherapy treatment. Pathogenetically it is based on destruction of tissue steam cells, formation of fibrosis dense, blood and lymphatic circulation disorders etc. Classical methods of treatment are not much effective and traumatic. The aim of authors is evaluation of low-frequency ultrasound and ozone/NO-contained substances influence on enzyme activity of antioxidant superoxide dismutase (Rexod®). Proposed ozone/NO-ultrasonic method of correction skin and soft tissues radiation fibrosis of oncologic patients in combination with enzyme is also pathogenetically substantiated.
Authors analyze the syndrome of endogenous intoxication in oncologic patients. The possible ways of pathogenetic correction by applying such physic and chemical factors like ozone, oxide of nitrogen, low frequency ultrasound are proposed.
Complications after radiotherapy is an important problem of clinical oncology. Authors developed, theoretically proved and technically supplied an innovative method of thermoand photochromo-ultrasonic treatment of soft tissues fibrosis
