New manifolds are proposed and high-throughput procedures are developed for the flow-photometric determination of organic substances by hydroxamate formation. Slow reactions (in the case of acid amides and nitriles, chloroform, bromoform, and trichloroacetic acid) were accelerated by on-line microwave irradiation.
