The aim of present work was to study some activation features of neutrophilic granulocytes from peripheral blood of the patients with G type of multiple myeloma (MM), as depending on clinical stage of the disorder. In this study, a number of parameters were evaluated, as follows: time dynamics of the up-to-maximum luminescence increase; maximal luminescence levels, areas under the curves (AUC) for the dynamic luminescence registration. Zymosan was used as chemiluminescence inducer, and luminol, as enhancer of the “respiratory burst”. The chemiluminescence enhancement was assessed as a ratio of AUC values corresponding to induced-to-spontaneous chemiluminescence being denoted as an ‘activation index’. The onset and progression of MM in humans was accompanied by disturbance of neutrophil functions. MM patients at stage II and III exhibited a significant increase of spontaneous ROS production relative to controls. The inducible ROS production by neutrophils was also increased in all groups, as compared with spontaneous production and and control parameters, thus arguing for a distinct role of neutrophils, as potentially cytotoxic effectors against tumor cells, along with their basic function of nonspecific antimicrobial protection.
The aim of the work was to study the role of cellular and humoral immunity in progression of myeloma disease (MD). The study included 97 patients and 125 age and sex-matched healthy volunteers. The state of cell-mediated and humoral immunity was evaluated at admission, before the pathogenetic treatment, by indirect immunqfluorescence technique using anti-CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD16+, CD19+, HLA-DR+ monoclonal antibodies. Serum IgA, IgM, IgE, IgG were measured by immnoenzymatic assay. The results were analysed using Statistica 7.0 (StatSoft, USA) program. The quantitative values are expressed as the median (Me) and interquartile range (C 25-C 75;). Qualitative variables are presented as absolute values and percentage. The critical statistical significance level was taken as 0.05. The patients with MD developed combined secondary T, B-cell immunodeficiency. The disbalance between CD4+ cells and cytotoxic lymphocytes as well as signs of B-lymphocyte deficit increased with the progress of the disease. The number of NK-cells decreased at all stages of the disease. A rise in the serum level of IgC at all stages compared with control is an identifying sign confirming diagnosis of G-variant of myeloma disease.
Abstract. We examined metabolic status of blood lymphocytes in forty-four patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), and in fifty-seven patients with chronic lymphoid leukemia (CLL). The most pronounced changes of enzyme activities are found in blood lymphocytes of CML and CLL patients during terminal stage of the disease. All the patients with chronic leukemia at both stages showed a decreased intensity of metabolic processes in blood lymphocytes. In addition, CML patients at both clinical stages exhibited a decrease in antioxidant cell protection. The more pronounced biochemical disturbances in CML patients at progression stage concerned carbohydrate metabolism, whereas the changes at terminal stage of disease affected both carbohydrate and fat metabolism. The most marked biochemical alterations in CLL at progression stage are registered for carbohydrate and protein metabolism, and carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism at terminal stage of disease. The revealed changes showed indicate to more severe clinical course in the patients with CML. These changes and differences depict some aspects of immune pathogenesis in development and progression of CML and CLL.
The aim of the study was to investigate the activity levels of NAD(P)-dependent dehydrogenases in blood lymphocytes in children with different types of gallbladder (GB) dysfunction. 35 children with dysfunction of the GB have been investigated. Activity of NAD(P)-dependent dehydrogenases was determined using a bioluminescent analysis. Found that in children with GB hypofunction in blood lymphocytes the intensity of the substrate flow in the Krebs cycle was decreased most evidently than in hyperactivity of GB. Regardless of the type of GB dysfunction in children of both groups in lymphocytes the activity of the pentose phosphate cycle was reduced, which is characterized by the inhibition of macromolecular synthesis of the corresponding reactions.
For children 7-11 years old with dysfunctional disorders of biliary tract (DRBT) and their association with giardiasis is usual the development of immune system imbalance, which is characterized by increasing of cellular immunity indices and decreasing the activity of humoral element of immune system. The nature and level of the changes depends on presence or absence the association of main disease with giardiasis. The most typical immune displays of DRBT are the increasing of the number of B-lymphocytes in the blood and reducing the concentration of Ig M and Ig G, DRBT in association with giardiasis is characterized by reducing content of activated T-lymphocytes. The clinical picture of the disease in children of 7-11 with DRBT didn't reveal the features, depending on the presence or absence of giardiasis.

Krasnoyarsk Pediatric School occupies a worthy place among Russian Pediatric Schools, this indicates the importance of research work for the public health care, medical technologies for prevention and treatment of common diseases in children, the introduction of modern teaching methods of training pediatricians and postgraduate improve of their knowledge.
N the study of NAD(P)-dependent dehydrogenases activity in blood lymphocytes in children with dysfunctional disorders of the biliary tract (DDBT) and. DDBT in association with giardiasis detected significant changes in the intracellular metabolism. In children with DDBT in blood lymphocytes the levels of substrate flow decreased at the terminal reactions of glycolysis and. the tricarboxylic acid cycle, which determines the inhibition, respectively, anaerobic and aerobic cellular respiration. It's been established that in blood lymphocytes of children with DDBT, associated with giardiasis, the activity of enzymes determining the state of aerobic respiration is reduced, while maintaining the normal level of intensity of the terminal reactions of anaerobic glycolysis. Regardless of the presence or absence of giardiasis in children with DDBT the activity of pentose phosphate cycle is reduced which characterizes the inhibition of the reactions of macromolecular synthesis.
The research on the prevalence of atherosclerosis risk factors in terms of the age and nutrition of native and alien inhabitants in Siberia North has been carried out. We studied the spectrum of fat acids in erythrocyte membranes, blood plasma, and blood microelement structure. The changes in fat acid spectrum and microelement structure of blood in the presence of atherosclerosis risk factors have been revealed.
We studied the clinical and immunological status and estimated the activity of metabolic enzymes in lymphocytes in 73 patients with acute lymphoblastic leucosis. The disturbances of immune status and metabolic enzyme activity were revealed on the all stages. The most significant disturbances of immune status were found out during the remission stage. The changes in metabolic enzyme activity were revealed on the relapse stage of the disease. The determined changes and differences are characteristics of immunopathological aspects of acute lymphoblastic leucosis appearance and progression.
