Mobile health (m-health) apps adoption in developing countries is a new research area in the healthcare industry. M-health is comparatively recent in information systems, with little attention being paid to it developing countries in the previous years. Applications of the m-health strategies in developing nations are considered one of the best platforms for guaranteeing the citizenry's safety and healthcare security. A systematic review was conducted of m-health apps adoption by patients in developing countries to evaluate the current results. It reviews 22 papers that were published on the topic of m-health adoption in developing countries in academic journals and conferences over the last decade. It identifies the research in terms of research methodologies, theories and models adopted, significant factors identified, limitations and recommendations. Findings show there is a limited contribution to m-health apps adoption in developing countries. Most studies employed TAM and focused on the technological and individual levels; very low intention has been made to health-related factors, levels, and theories. The review presents a broad overview of previous academic studies with a view to future research.
Mobile health (m-health) applications offer new features to patients to increase the efficiency of healthcare services. However, adopting such technology has not been as expected in some developing countries such as Saudi Arabia. Yet, healthcare providers have recently started to force patients to use some mobile apps during the COVID-19 pandemic. Consequently, it has opened the discussion of whether the enforcement of healthcare providers could influence patients' behavioral intention to adopt m-health apps. This study aims to understand and validate the factors that could influence mhealth apps' adoption. Based on the UTAUT model, the proposed model has been extended in this research to include healthcare authority enforcement and tested in Saudi Arabian settings with 343 participants. Findings show the significance of effort expectancy, social influence, and healthcare authority enforcement on behavioral intention. The outcome of this study aims to provide governments, practitioners, and app developers with further understanding.
Knowledge sharing is a significant component of success in knowledge management. In Saudi Arabia, knowledge management is often lacking when it comes to knowledge sharing adoption, especially between academic staff. This research aims to investigate various factors of knowledge sharing adoption for eLearning communities in Saudi Arabia and to examine the effect of culture as a moderating role on the relationships between these factors and academics’ attitude. Therefore, a framework is aimed at sharing knowledge within the eLearning communities is developed. Data has been collected from public universities in Saudi Arabia. Partial Least Square approach has been applied to analyse the data. The results show individual factors (such as openness in communication, interpersonal trust) and technology acceptance factors (perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use) significantly influence knowledge sharing attitude, while the relationship between people self-motivation and knowledge sharing attitude is insignificant. Subjective norm and attitude significantly impact behavioral intention toward knowledge sharing adoption in Saudi universities’ eLearning communities.
Business intelligence systems (BISs) have attracted the attention of decision makers, as these have a significant impact on forecasts of current and prospective views of the decision process in business operations. This impact will be realized only when BIS is used and spread widely. The literature suggests that more than 70% of BIS projects in organizations fail to achieve their expected returns and benefits. Therefore, BIS adoption has grown over the last decade. However, no prior studies have comprehensively discussed and compared BIS adoption determinants in both large companies and SMEs. Therefore, by using a systematic literature review (SLR), this study has presented comprehensive knowledge about the current domain of BISs' adoption in large companies and SMEs. This paper also makes recommendations for future research. For the purpose of this study, a total of 76 studies published between 2009 and 2019 were selected.

Review of literature shows there is dearth of research surrounding BIS acceptance in SMEs especially in developing countries such as Saudi Arabia (SA). This study extends the current literature of users’ post-adoption behaviour of BISs by proposing model that integrates individual and social perspective factors as effective factors in BIS user behaviour intention in Saudi’s SMEs. BIS and SME characteristics have been considered in the implementation of this model. This study seeks to address the gap in the literature and provide better understanding of BIS post-adopt behaviour in SMEs
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia seeks to have at least five universities in the top 200 of international rankings by 2030; which urges academics to develop strong research partnerships with the private sector. Furthermore, the intermediary company has emerged in several universities to facilitate knowledge transfer processes between universities and the private sector mutually. Nevertheless, despite the growing awareness of the importance of research partnership, studies stressed that current partnerships’ level is relatively low. Thus, there is a need to investigate this issue further. Besides, there is a need to in-depth analyse the gender-difference to understand the phenomenon. Accordingly, this mixed-methods study aims to examine the influence of social capital theory factors on the knowledge transfer process, with the existence of the intermediary company between public universities and private sector during the Engagement phase in Saudi Arabia based on the perspectives of the leaders’ gender.

Moreover, the role of cultural factors has not been involved or examined in the case of adopting m-health apps in Saudi Arabia. This study will investigate the role of cultural as well as technological factors on patients' intentions to adopt m-health apps in Saudi Arabia. The proposed model and factors identified will be tested to understand patients' perceptions of m-health apps. The results would be beneficial to increase the adoption rates of m-health in Saudi Arabia.
IT entrepreneurs represent a valuable source to the societies. They prompt socio-economic growth, and innovation. Despite the increasing awareness of this importance, evidence indicates that women engagement in technology entrepreneurship is scant, which has received limited attention in both information systems and female entrepreneurship literature. Drawing on the theory of planned behaviour, this research highlights the existing gap by analyzing influential aspects that affect the decision-making process of women techentrepreneurs in the Saudi context. Hypotheses were tested using survey data that has been collected from different Saudi female public universities as well as technology incubators, and entrepreneurship programs. Findings from PLS support the core entrepreneurial intention model and highlight the important role of traditional determinants of intention. In addition, the research findings highlight and contribute a new understanding of the value of IT factors for women in increasing their entrepreneurial intention and subsequent decisions, actions, and outcomes.
This mini-track examines both the theory and practice of knowledge management in organizations where innovation and an entrepreneurial structure require its successful application. Entrepreneurs often create knowledge but fail to capture it for future use. Organizations that have the ability to innovate in their early stages of existence and capture the knowledge they create are far better positioned to survive in the long run.

PurposeStudies have examined the influence of knowledge-sharing factors on attitudes and intentions to share knowledge; thus, there is a need to add to the limited research to examine individuals’ actual knowledge-sharing behaviour (KSB). Drawing upon the social cognitive theory (SCT) and transformational leadership, this study aims to develop a new research model which modifies the standard SCT model and augments it with other theories to examine academics’ KSBs.Design/methodology/approachQuestionnaire surveys based on literature and pilot study were conducted with 785 academic staff from four Vietnamese public universities. This study applied structural equation modelling to test the proposed research model and hypotheses.FindingsThe findings show that environmental factors (subjective norms, trust) and personal factors (knowledge self-efficacy, enjoyment in helping others) had positive impacts on KSB; KSB had a strongly positive effect on innovative behaviour; and transformational leadership positively moderated the effects of subjective norms, trust and knowledge self-efficacy on KSB. Interestingly, psychological ownership of knowledge was found to have insignificant associations with KSB.Practical implicationsThe study findings can be used by university leaders, academic staff and researchers in other similar contexts.Originality/valueUntil now, to the best of the researchers’ knowledge, no studies have applied SCT as a primary lens, in which transformational leadership positioned in a focal behaviour also affected KSB, to investigate research on KSB in organisations, especially in institutions of higher education.
M-health applications play significant roles in enhancing the healthcare services being provided to the patients. Applying such a technology within healthcare institutions is challengeable. It requires a lot of effort, resources, and radical changes in any healthcare providers' practices and services, as well as understanding the patients' expectations which will improve the satisfaction about the services provided. However, the adoption and acceptance of such a technology are not as widespread as might be expected in Saudi Arabia. Even though healthcare providers have launched few m-health apps, there is a limited usage of such a technology through Saudi society with no clear evidence of actual causes. Moreover, the role of social awareness and individual attributes has not been involved or examined in the case of adopting and accepting m-health apps in Saudi Arabia. Consequently, the Saudi Arabian society may inadvertently obstruct the healthcare providers' plans. This research aims to provide the current state and knowledge necessary to ensure the successful implementation and utilization of m-health apps in the Saudi Arabia.
This study aims to examine the influences of environmental and personal factors on knowledge-sharing behaviour (KSB) of academics and whether more influence leads to superior innovative work behaviour (IWB) at the tertiary level in Vietnam. A questionnaire survey was conducted as part of the study, including 320 academic staff at Hanoi University, one of the leading public universities in Vietnam. This study applies the structural equation modelling (SEM) to investigate the research model based on social cognitive theory (SCT). The results show that two environmental factors (subjective norms and trust) and two personal factors (knowledge self-efficacy and enjoyment in helping others) significantly influence KSB. The results also indicate that employee willingness to share knowledge enables the organisation to promote innovative work behaviour. The study context was limited to only one Vietnamese university. It appears that the part of a bigger picture of knowledge sharing (KS) in Vietnamese universities is likely to be lost. However, given the previous studies on knowledge sharing in both developed and developing countries, it could be expected that the results of this study can be taken forward by university leaderships, academic staff and researchers in other contexts as well. A clear understanding of the critical factors that influence KSB towards promoting innovative work behaviour may help university leaders to develop suitable and evolving strategies to address the challenges of knowledge sharing. This study contributes to the growing literature on the relationships among environmental and personal factors and KSB towards promoting innovative work behaviour.
Despite the vital role that mobile applications will play in the implementation of healthcare plans in the Saudi Vision 2030, several factors may influence the process. Due to the conflict of interest, lack of exposure, resistance to change, as well as limited technical knowledge of the apps, the Saudi Arabian society may inadvertently impede the government’s objectives. All the challenges could be related to individual perceptions, technical complexities, social influence, as well as organizational reliability and preparedness. The earlier the authorities identify the issues and respond to them, the faster it will be to succeed in the implementation of mobile health (m-health) and subsequent attainment of the Vision 2030 health goals. This study conducted a review of literature in this context. The proposed model and factors identified will be tested to understand patients’ perceptions of m-health applications. Technological entrepreneurship is continuously growing, and given the lack of women's IT entrepreneurial activities there is a need for further investigation. However, a comprehensive literature review indicates that innovation, technology and female entrepreneurs are rarely discussed in the same context, though each has a vital value for human and economy development. Furthermore, most of the literature on women's entrepreneurship in general and more specifically in Saudi context is focused on non-technological businesses. Therefore, this research in progress examines the relationship between social influence and women's IT entrepreneurial intention and decision-making processes that lead women to become tech-entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia. The investigation reveals that understanding entrepreneurial intention as well as its antecedents is a strong predictor to perform behaviors. So, by understanding women's IT entrepreneurial intention, better guidance can be a new driver of entrepreneurial behavior in the technology context.
In new age, knowledge has become a significant source. Knowledge sharing is a substantial component of success in any organisation. In various organisations, knowledge sharing adoption is lacking, especially among academic staff working in Saudi universities. This paper investigates collectivism impact on knowledge-sharing factors among academics in Saudi e-learning communities. A conceptual model that will affect the knowledge sharing behaviour within the e-learning community in Saudi universities is proposed. Hypotheses have been accordingly developed. Data was collected in different Saudi public universities. Partial Least Square approach has been applied to analyse the data. The findings of this study provide key factors affecting the process of knowledge-sharing adoption between academic staff within the virtual learning communities in Saudi universities.
