The control technology for biocomposting (CTB) process was used in a sludge treatment plant in Qinhuangdao. The automatization of composting fermentation was achieved by joint feedback control of temperature and oxygen during the fermentation. The treatment capacity of dewatered sludge is 200 t/d, the composting cycle is 20 d, and the sludge moisture can be decreased to 40% at the end of composting. Composting products can be used as raw material for organic fertilizer, for gardening, cover layer of landfill, media for potted plants and so on. This process has advantages of rapid temperature rise, quick dewatering, complete innocuity, low odor and so on.
The concentrations of H2S and NH3 in the workshops of Lvgang Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant using control technology for biocomposting (CTB) process in Qinhuangdao City were monitored continuously. The control efficiency of odor production and emission in CTB process was investigated. The results show that CTB process can effectively control production and emission of H2S and NH3 during sludge aerobic fermentation. The concentrations of H2S and NH3 in the human activity area of the workshop are below 0.51 mL/m3 and 18.6 mL/m3 respectively. The air quality in the workshops can meet the requirement of Occupational Exposure Limit for Hazardous Agents in the Workplace (GB Z2-2002). Compared with the closed condition, the natural ventilation or the starting of waste gas collection system and biological deodorization system can decrease the concentrations of H2S and NH3 by 70% to 98%. Under the condition of natural ventilation, the air quality in the plant can also meet the standard without the starting of biological deodorization system, reducing the operation cost.
城市污泥堆肥处理被认为是适应我国国情的处理方式,近几年越来越成为一种主流处理工艺.在我国新建并投入运行的大型城市污泥处理厂中,秦皇岛市、长春市、上海市松江区、漯河市等一大批城市均选用好氧堆肥工艺.
Through the floriculture experiment,the effect of municipal sludge compost used as the floriculture substrate was investigated.The results show that compared with the experiments with and without fertilizer,municipal sludge compost can promote the growth of Chamaedorea elegans,lucky bamboo and Phyllostachys sulphurea,increase their biomass and improve the ornamental quality.The additional proportion of municipal sludge compost into the substrate should be 25% to 50%.In addition,the sludge compost can improve the ventilation,water-holding capacity and nutrient supply capacity of the substrate.
Taking into account the characteristics of municipal sludge in China,the current use of municipal sludge in garden and highway greening,lawn substrate,container seedling substrate and landfill cover are discussed.On the premise of controlling environmental risk and composting treatment,the application of municipal sludge in garden greening and relevant fields should be actively promoted.
