Optical Power Extinction Tomography is a computed imaging modality that doesn't require field phase measurement. Measurements of power extinguished from an optical field are related to the structure of the object by a Fourier transform.
Expressions for the electromagnetic power extinguished by a scatterer in a half-space are derived via the generalized optical theorem. The power is seen to be related to the structure of the scattering object. Applications include microscopy and tomography.
