From an extract of hog adrenal tissue prepared from glands frozen with solid carbon dioxide as soon as practical after removal from the animal, the following steroids were isolated: hydrocortisone, cortisone, corticosterone, 11-dehydrocorticosterone, and 11-desoxycortisone. A tentative identification of four other compounds present in trace amount was made.
