TSH assays by chemiluminescence (third generation) were undertaken in 140 patients with hig free T4 or free T3 levels. Overt or mild hyperthyroidism (n = 86) is associated in all but 3 patients with a TSH value lower than 0,03 mU/l. This value may be used to distinguish hyper on euthyroid hyperthyroxinemia.
