From The Resin Of Bellardia Trixago (Scrophulariaceae) The Flavonoids 5-Hydroxy-3,6,7,8.4′-Pentamethoxyflavone, 5-Hydroxy-3,6,7,8,3′,4′-Hexamethoxyflavone, 5,4′-Dihydroxy-3,6,7,8,3′-Pen-Tamethoxyflavone, 5,4′-Dihydroxy-6,7,8,3′-Tetramethoxyflavone, 5,4′-Dihydroxy-3,6,7,8-Tetramet-Hoxyflavone (Calycopterin), 5-Hydroxy-6,7,4′-Trimethoxyflavone (Salvigenin), 5-Hydroxy-6,7,3′,4′-Tetramethoxyflavone and 5,4′-Dihydroxy-6,7,8-Trimethoxyflavone (Xanthomicrol) Have Been Isolated and Identified By Uv and Eims Techniques and By Chromatographic Comparisons With Authentic Compounds. This Is One Of The First Times That External Flavonoids Are Reported In A Member Of The Scrophulariaceae. The Permethylated Derivatives 3,5,6,7,8,3′,4′-Heptamethoxyfla-Vone and 3,5,6,7,8,4′-Hexamathoxyflavone Obtained By Methylation Of The Naturally Occurring Compounds Inhibited The Growth Of The Fungus Cladosporium Herbarum.
