An innovative low cost tuning system especially suited for low cost television receiver is presented. It combines low sensitivity of the system to aging, temperature changes, etc. and allow the user to interact by channel identification. A sophisticated algorithm is developed, in which the salient and exclusive features of the frequency synthesis are implemented, by a low cost voltage synthesis approach.
