AbstractAus der schon früher von uns untersuchten Rinde von Strychnos toxifera aus Venezuela wurden 3 neue Alkaloide isoliert: Caracurin VIII, Caracurin IX und Nor‐C‐dihydro‐toxiferin, die beiden ersteren Basen als Chlormethylate; das Chlormethylat des Nor‐C‐dihydro‐toxiferins war mit dem in Calebassen vorkommenden C‐Dihydro‐toxiferin‐chlorid identisch.
AbstractAus den im Papierchromatogramm schnell wandernden Alkaloid‐Fraktionen verschiedener Calebassen wurden Mavacurin und ein neues, als C‐Alkaloid M bezeichnetes quartäres Calebassen‐Alkaloid, das mit C‐Calebassinin nahe verwandt ist, isoliert. Ferner konnte ein Alkaloid Y auf chromatographischem Wege abgetrennt werden, das auch in der Rinde von Strychnos toxifera vorkommt und durch eine rotviolette Cer(IV)‐sulfat‐Reaktion ausgezeichnet ist.
AbstractAus der Rinde einer Strychnos‐toxifera‐Pflanze, die in Venezuela beheimatet war, wurden Mavacurin, Fluorocurin sowie 8 neue Alkaloide, die Caracurine I–VII sowie Fedamazin genannt werden, isoliert; ferner in kleiner Menge das C‐Alkaloid Y.
AbstractDas Strychnos‐Alkaloid Caracurin V C20,H21ON2Cl wird durch Einwirkung von verdünnter Mineralsäure in Caracurin Va (C20H23O2N2Cl) verwandelt, und letzteres geht bei längerer Säureeinwirkung in Caracurin II (C20H23O2N2Cl) und Caracurin VII (C20H23O2N2Cl) über.

AbstractAus Ergosterin und 7‐Dehydrocholesterin wurden die entsprechenden p‐Toluolsulfonsäureester hergestellt (Ia bzw. IIa) und mit LiAlH4 reduziert. Die Reduktion von Ergosteryltosylat ergab Δ7,22i‐Ergostatrien (III) neben kleinen Mengen Ergosterin. Aus 7‐Dehydrocholesteryltosylat entstand Δ7‐i‐Cholestadien (IV) neben etwas 7‐Dehydrocholesterin.
AbstractIn der vorliegenden Abhandlung wurden die Toluolsulfonsäureester einiger Steroide der Reduktion mit LiAlH4 unterworfen. 7‐Oxycholestan‐tosylester wurde dabei zu Cholestan, 6‐Oxy‐cholestan ‐tosylester zu einem Gemisch von Cholestan und 6‐Oxy‐cholestan reduziert. Im Pregnenolontosylester wurde die Gruppe CH3C6H4SO2O durch LiAlH4 reduktiv entfernt. Der aus Δ4‐Cholesten‐3,4‐diol gewonnene 3‐Tosyl‐sulfonsäureester lieferte bei der Reduktion durch LiAlH4 3 verschiedene Verbindungen: Cholesten‐(5)‐ol‐(4), eine geringe Menge Δ4‐Cholesten sowie eine weitere Verbindung C27H46O, deren Konstitution noch unbekannt ist.
