The study investigated the ICT based library and Information services in Constituent First Grade Colleges affiliated to University of Mysore .The present study demonstrates and elaborates the primary way to learn about ICTs, the purpose of using ICT enabled library services, to assess to what extent users are utilized ICT based library services and facilities, various aspects of Internet usage, favourite search engines, NLIST resources and services Suggestions have been given to make the service more beneficial in the library users. The aims were to examine impacts of ICT on motivation and related issues such as learning outcomes, behaviour, and attendance and to quantify any impacts where possible. The study also set out to consider the ways in which ICT can best be used by under graduate students to enhance motivational impacts for pupils, especially for those disaffected with traditional forms of learning. The present study aims to examine the ICT based library and Information services in Constituent First Grade Colleges affiliated to University of Mysore. The questionnaire method was adopted for the present study to collect the necessary data, keeping in view the objectives of the study. Total 236 questionnaires were distributed and 163 filled in questionnaires were collected back. The rate of response of 69.06 %. The collected data has been analysed using appropriate statistical techniques with SPSS such as chi-square test, mean and standard deviation for the analysis. The majority mean value of 3.28 SD being 1.66 I read e-Books of respondents110(67.48%) of students opine as ‘Excellent’, with a mean value of 1.59 and SD being 1.00. for Preferred search engine 20(12.26%) respondents use ‘Annual Reviews’ Use of N-List resources and Services From the analysis, it showed that our colleges should always embark on strategies towards adding more value to their ICT based library services. ICT based library services awareness program should be rendered to the graduate students at the very point of enrolment into the graduate studies for this will help the students to - wards understanding the need of utilizing the library properly and also appreciate technology more in their lives.
The study analyzes the biodiversity research output carried out during 2003–12 on different parameters including; share and citation impact, international collaborative papers, contribution of various subject fields, productivity and citation profile of top Indian institutions and authors. The Web of Science Database has been used to retrieve data for 10 years (2003–12). RCI and ACCP were applied to evaluate the scientific impact of publications. India holds 13th rank among the productive countries in biodiversity research consisting of 1,206 papers with a global publication share of 3.01%. For a random sample from a standard normal distribution, Jones (1948) has given some exact lower moments of the corresponding order statistics. In this paper, these results are extended to random samples from populations that are symmetrically distributed about some arbitrary point. These can then be used to calculate low moments of some statistics introduced in Ali (2001) for testing symmetry of distributions.
The multiple correlation coefficient is used in a large variety of statistical tests and regression problems. In this article, we derive the null distribution of the square of the sample multiple correlation coefficient, R 2 , when a sample is drawn from a mixture of two multivariate Gaussian populations. The moments of 1 − R 2 and inverse Mellin transform have been used to derive the density of R 2 .
Isolates of Fusariurn graminum from heads of Paspalum dilatatum infected with Claviceps paspali were compared with isolates from soil which had been identified as F. graminum or F. heterosporum on the basis of conidial characters in an earlier study. Differences between isolates were found only in the degree of pigmentation and in the length of macroconidia. Colony morphology, growth rates, and responses of growth to temperature and osmotic potential were similar in all isolates. It was concluded that all isolates belonged to a single species, F. heterosporum. Crossing experiments indicated that the fungus may be homothallic, although ascospores were rare under the conditions used. None of the isolates tested was toxigenic.
The effectiveness of three media, peptone-PCNB agar (PPA), dichloran-chloramphenicol agar (DCPA) and modified potato-dextrose agar (MPDA) for the recovery of and other fungi from sorghum grain was evaluated using three grain samples. One sample appeared free of mould damage on visual inspection whereas the other two samples had obvious mould damage and were discoloured. PPA was the most effective medium for the recovery of spp. while DCPA was most effective in recovering spp. MPDA proved useful for the recovery of and a number of dematiaceous fungal species. was frequently recovered from the clean sorghum sample but rarely recovered from the two mouldy samples. and were all isolated at relatively high frequencies from the two mouldy sorghum samples but only was recovered from the clean sample. was recovered at high frequencies from the two mouldy samples but not from the clean sample. Thirty species of fungi, including 13 species of , were isolated from the two mouldy sorghum samples.

P. sorghina was recovered at high frequencies from the two mouldy samples but not from the clean sample. Thirty species of fungi, including 13 species of Fusarium, were isolated from the two mouldy sorghum samples.
For an initially empty M/M/1 queue, it is shown that the transform of the expectation of the number of departures in the interval (0, t] is invariant under an interchange of arrival and service rates. However, in the GI/G/1 queue with an initial single customer, the corresponding transform does not have this symmetric property.
