Excerpt PART I. A CASE WITH HEMOLYTIC ANEMIA AND MARKED THROMBOPENIA The subject of Gaucher's disease continues to occupy a fairly prominent position in the medical literature of recent years. The ...
cis-4-t-Butylcyclohexanol can be separated from itstrans-isomer by elution chromatography in an automatic recycling apparatus. This technique, with its savings in solvents and the chemist's time and attention, should be useful in separating many biochemical and organic chemical mixtures.
A simple, inexpensive apparatus and procedure are described for the rapid preparation of coated micro slides for thin-layer chromatography. Although micro slides of varying sizes may be coated in this apparatus, the commercially-available “Breed Brew” slide is especially advantageous since it permits more analyses to be run on each chromatoplate and offers a longer developmental pathlength. A convenient, readily-constructed marking template which can accommodate micro slides of varying sizes is also presented.
