We propose a secure framework for mobile-phone based RFID service using personal privacy policy based access control for personalized ultra-high frequency (UHF) tags employing the Electronic Product Code (EPC). The framework, called mobile RPS, has dynamic capabilities that extend upon extent trust-building service mechanisms for RFID systems. This new technology aims to provide absolute confidentiality with only basic tags.
This paper proposes mobile RFID service architecture using RFID tags of B2B. To use RFID tags of B2B in mobile RFID service network, two approaches may be available. One is that network entities in mobile RFID service network access to network entities in B2B network and uses contents of B2B for mobile RFID service. The other is that only UII in RFID tag is used in mobile RFID service which does not require access to network entities in B2B. For these purposes this paper proposes mobile RFID service gateway. Also the requirements and the functions of the service gateway are defined.
RFID has been adopted so far in business fields due to such problems as expensive tag price, privacy issue, no tiny reader, etc. But currently RIFD is being adopted in cell phones so that customer-purposes RFID applications can be provided in the B2C manner. How to establish the service infra is a challenging issue and only the case of KDDI is known to the public. It operates based on the service broker model. But this paper describes the E2E-based communication model. It figures out prospective network entities, network configurations, how to resolve the code resolution from an RFID code to a URI (uniform resource identifier), how to retrieve information contents such as music, video, game, etc. With this result, an alternative network reference model can be suggested to the market and Korea's mobile network operators are adopting this proposed architecture.
The RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology is a non-contact identification system which can wireless reading of information, by attaching tags on objects; various applications of the technology are feasible throughout a dive of industries, and researches are currently under way. Recently, in connection with the wireless communication industry, application service models conveying information to the users through mobile devices with RFID readers were suggested. Such application service based on mobile RFID technology requires schema that models the form of data. Therefore, this study analyzes the mobile RFID application service model that will be serviced in the mobile environment, functions and elements of the protocol, and the interface, designing a language to process the data and express contents in the said service models, and we simulated the service for test it.
The wireless LAN is a potential candidate technology for providing wireless access services. Also, wireless LAN can meet demands for expended wireless access coverage while maintaining continuous connectivity from one wireless LAN to another by supporting Mobile IP. Along with these, many standard organizations are considering Mobile 1Pv6 for their mobility management protocol in the next generation network. IETF is developing Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 and Fast Handoff for Mobile 1Pv6 to provide fast handoff mechanisms with Mobile 1Pv6. In this paper the Mobile 1Pv6 and its handoff issues an introduced. The three factors that affect Mobile IP handoff delay, movement detection, address configuration location update, are analyzed thoroughly. At last, consideration; for designing fast handoff mechanisms reducing Mobile IP handoff delay are suggested.
