Due to aging and frequent use,the damage to paper water yearbooks is inevitable.The application of computer technology can digitalize such data and provide convenience for storage and utilization.For this reason,the Hydrology Bureau of Changjiang Water Resources Commission has developed a specific archive digitalization system for paper water yearbooks.The system has the functions of editing,scanning,error correction,content index and automatic data transmission and the digitalized operation and management of paper water yearbooks is realized.
The foundations of pylons of the Second Minpu Bridge in Shanghai were placed in between the main and auxiliary navigable spans of the Bridge and the vessel collision protection for the foundations is therefore of particular importance.In this paper,the design code and empirical formulas are used to calculate the vessel collision force to be applied onto the foundations and the finite element simulation method is also used to analyze the vessel collision risk of the foundations equipped with or not equipped with the collision protection facilities.
