Objective To evaluate the curative effect of Shuanglongbaoxin formula on acute myocardial infarction in rat. Methods Acute myocardial infarct rat model was established by the coronary artery ligation; at 10 min after constructing the rat model, the drug was in-traduodenally administrated; at 4 h after modeling, blood was collected to determine the levels of creatine kinase(CK), lactate dehydroge-nase(LDH), superoxide dismutase(SOD) and malondialdehyde(MDA). The rat heart was taken for preparing the sections and staining by nitrotetrazolium blue chloride(N - BT) . Then myocardial infarcted areas were detected. Results The levels of serum CK, LDH, SOD and MDA in all medication groups had no statistically significant differences compared with the model group, the myocardial infarcted area in Shuanglongbaoxin formula groups at the high dose and the middle dose was significantly reduced compared with the model group ( P ﹤ 0. 05 ). Conclusion Shuanglongbaoxin formula has the significant protective effect on acute myocardial ischemia in rat.
Background Since more and more concern is raised regarding clinical safety of TCM products, effective and enhanced monitoring on adverse reactions of TCM products has become an inevitable subject for health authorities, pharmaceutical companies and medical institutes. Objective To analyze current status and to explore the future of monitoring on adverse reactions of TCM products. Methods data and literature reports concerning adverse reactions monitoring of TCM products were reviewed and summarized, and an adverse reactions/events monitoring study as conducted by Guangzhou Xiangxue Pharmaceutical was analyzed as a paradigm. Results Significant progress has been made in the monitoring of adverse reactions to TCM products. There is,however, huge difference between injectable and oraly administered products in the monitoring.Pharmaceutical companies are hardly aware of the clinical risks with oraly administered TCM products and thus are not initiative. Conclusion Adequate attention should be given to the monitoring of adverse reactions to oraly administered TCM products, while pharmaceutical companies should strengthen adverse reactions monitoring study on their products,so as to substantialy improve protection for public health.
AIM To use elution-extrusion counter-current chromatography(EECCC) to separate and prepare ginsenoside-Rg1,Rf and Rd in Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma.METHODS Ethyl acetate-n-butanol-0.1%formic acid(2∶ 1∶ 3,v/v) was chosen as the solvent system. The upper phase was used as stationary phase, and the lower phase used as mobile phase. The apparatus was rotated at 1 250 r/min,and the mobile(lower) phase was pumped into the column at 40 mL/min.The switch volume(VCM) was 2 400 mL.RESULTS Under the chosen condition, the preparetion yielded 71 mg,21 mg and 53 mg of ginsenoside-Rg1,Rf and Rd with a purity of 96.2%,94.3% and 95.1% by HPLC from 300 mg crude sample, respectively.CONCLUSION EECCC is a rapid and simple counter-current chromatography technique, which is effective for separation and purification of the solutes with larger partition coefficient(KD) values.
OBJECTIVE:To verify the rational of Chinese medicine Shuanglong formula.METHOD:Rat models of acute myocardial ischemia were induced by hydrochloride isoproterenol. ECG J point change, myocardial infarction area and cellular enzyme (CK, LDH, SOD and MDA) levels were observed and detected to show protective effect of treatment groups.RESULT:The single drug prescriptions and compatibilities both could improve ECG performance, decrease levels of CK, LDH, SOD and MDA in serum, and reduce a certain myocardial infarct size.CONCLUSION:The Shuanglong formula at the high dose of 3:7 was proved to be more effective on myocardial ischemia.
